@Jokertechz

I have a separate Jeskai build I'm working on, Narset, Dragon Champion. It is a slower more and controlling deck, and feels powerful, but I have yet to test it anywhere.

This is a really sweet build, and see how it easily made Top 8 at Game Day. I would post my results at Game Day on my list, but my performance at Game Day legitimately made me want to quit Magic. No joke.

My results on Saturday were great but Sunday was dismally bad. In my last round, I got beat by Chord of Calling into Hornet Nest to block a Goblin Rabblemaster at 6 power. I was already down to 3 life and I just scooped on the spot.

At least the Heir of the Wilds promo is nice :p

I love the Heir of the Wilds art, it's awesome! That's a terrible way to die. Once I swung my 2/2 into a Hornet Nest and he blocked. I didn't expect him to Titanic Growth my creature :/ It was awful.

I don't have the $$ for two Brimaz atm and the local that sells singles is always out... For arguments sake, I find the growth and attacking ability more important than blocking. Would it trade out nicely for a pair of rabblemasters?

I mean, sure the tokens aren't as tough but they make up for it by giving rb a +1/+0 per gob token..

@ManicRagequit

For Game Day, I was running Goblin Rabblemaster as a 4-of, in place of Brimaz, King of Oreskos and Ashcloud Phoenix .

On Game Day, and during testing before, Goblin Rabblemaster was undoubtedly strong, but was very underwhelming. While he certainly is great to have in the deck, I found we just wasn't pulling enough weight so opted to take him out.

If you can't aquire Brimaz, King of Oreskos , Goblin Rabblemaster is most definitely good in his place.

I was just about to take out Goblin Rabblemaster from my list, and then I watched Grand Prix Stockholm and saw the Jeskai Tempo player win on turn 5 with 2 Goblin Rabblemaster XD

Also, I did make some changes to my list if you want to check them out. Here's the link for reference: Tempo Much?

I took them out, but I admit I miss their hyper-aggressiveness. They're sooo good.

I've been loving playing Brimaz, King of Oreskos and Ashcloud Phoenix way too much though. Phoenix's pseudo-undying ability is absolutely amazing, and protects both Stormbreath Dragon and Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker from Crackling Doom .

I was playing Wingmate Roc for a while as well, but moved it to the SB because it was underperforming too much in all matches except the mirror.

TheGamer...am I crazy for wanting to splash black for Crackling Doom???

December 4, 2014 2:43 p.m.

I feel like you need some Mana Confluence to ensure you get black mana and at least 1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

TheHroth says... #17

Seems solid. I'll try to work Confluence in, but Urborg seems hard because I really don't want more than 1 "swamp" slot. I can't even fetch for it.

Also, I was thinking about doing the same thing with Crackling Doom. Let me know how it's been working for you.

For sure!

I like the thought, but I splashed black I my Tempo list, and it didn't really work out. Either I had the black mana and no black card or the black card and no black mana.

But try it out and see how it works!

I'll be taking the list as-is to FNM tomorrow, and I'll post an update sometime soon after that. Hopefully it works out!

Looks solid. Want me to do a collage for it? Just go onto my homepage for rules ect.

Looks sweet, especially with the Brimaz, King of Oreskos. Maybe your Temple of Epiphany could be replaced with a Shivan Reef, and stuff like that, because entering untapped is huge in this game. Temples are also sweet so keep most. +1

@IguanaMan

Thanks for the comment and +1! With currently having only 9 lands that ETB tapped, I think I'd rather keep them than switch them out. The scrying is really good, and the tri-colour lands are just needed for fixing. I'm thinking of actually upping the Temple count. I was running 8 Temples before adding , and now only 4. The lack of scrying has been very noticeable. IDK how I'm going to manage when they rotate out of Standard :'(

I would get rid of the black, the deck doesn't seem to NEED Crackling Doom

also, it just gives you the possibility to get crazy mana screwed
