I just built a Jund The Underworld and its Pets (Jund Mid-Control) If you don't mind checking it out I'd love feed back.
+1 on the deck I love the Idea, I personally like Underworld Cerberus more than Stormbreath Dragon if you are trying to beat down for the win with it.

The problem i see with the Cerberus is that it counteracts the whip. you can't target critter in the GY if he is on the table. You might get your critters back, but with all of your removal, they will probably get more back.

I use Scavenging Ooze to try and get rid of their creatures before dropping Underworld Cerberus , only problem is he becomes a dead card if I'm waiting to do that so I was gonna use less of him.

I notice that there aren't any one costs. How do you think Deathrite Shaman would do in this deck? Could replace the idea of scavenging ooze with cheaper cost.

I do like Deathrite Shaman but the Ooze helps a lot more being able to hit all of their creatures quickly and be a decent size creature, I only own 2 Shamans also making it hard to fit in the deck.

@scare983 thats a whole different deck that runs Deathrite Shaman . He is a card that i would base a deck around and i don't think he would fit in this deck tying up my mana early on and not being a blocker because he is more powerful in the late game. Although i have given thought to scavenging ooze but not quite sure what to swap out for him, Suggestions?????

I tried playing both Underworld Cerberus and Whip of Erebos but I found that it didn't work to well together. I would suggest either lowering the count of one or the other so you do not see them too often together or getting rid of one of them completely and put something else in their spot.

I also have a Jund deck and I went a very different direction but maybe it can give some ideas if you need any. Jund's Playground! 2.0 let me know what you think and if it can help :).

im a little skeptical of this mostly because i dont see any esper matchups so i dont know how competitive this actually is, however I love jund and its play style and this seems very balanced. I am left wondering if Stormbreath Dragon would be better in place of Underworld Cerberus , but they're both solid options. I look forward to building this and trying it out.

@acousticcancer i have played against esper but not in fnm its a very back and forth matchup, if he has 2 sphinx's its hard to come back from that but if he only has 1 the game is very winnable. We have an answer for almost every win con, the toughest is AEtherling needing two kill spells.

First of all, awesome deck! +1
Right now I have a pretty basic Rakdos Control that needs some fleshing out. I'm trying to decide if I want to play Jund or Dega for standard. Each has it's advantages and "bomb" cards, but I need more info before I dive into either... I don't have the finances to buy all the money cards for both!
That being said, what are some of the advantages and disadvantages (or at least potential weaknesses) of this deck. For example, the above comment sounds like you may have a little trouble with Esper control. I have a few ideas of how this might work, but I would rather hear it from someone who has actually played it.
Not looking to copy the deck (not a fan of netdecking) but simply want to learn from it!

@noobplayer Both dega and jund don't have a favorable match up with esper. My brother is currently running a dega build and although the colors are different they resemble each other in the aspect of running beefy bombs and good removal. Dega has alot more win conditions than jund via Elspeth, blood baron, obzedat and asemble the legion. Jund's got more of chaining cards together like xenagos and a polukranos for a huge monstrosity or rakdos's return. Jund is better in aggro/devotion matchups because we can stop it in its tracks, but dega is almost always the favored against midrange with all there win conditions. Both decks are right around the same place against control. Now im not saying jund is weak against midrange but dega just is stronger suited.

So, the Underworld Cerberus doesn't screw you over with having a small number of creatures?

Oh i see haha. It's tricky because its nice to have Underworld Cerberus against more controlling decks, but it would also be nice to have Stormbreath Dragon against Blood Baron of Vizkopa .

@fullbatt i've sorta been forgetting about updating this but yes i have won two more fnms since i updated last (i go two fnm every two weeks). I have won every time i have went except my first time playing it i got third (the faces of other players when the announce i placed first again is funny xD). Courser of kruphix i don't see a spot for her on the fact of double green, and being very slow as a 2/4. The gaining life is the only part that intrigues me. Unless there is some synergy with the next two sets i wont be adding her.

I just warmed up to Vraska the Unseen , she's working great in my jund build, but it takes more of a control approach, opting out of menages for more removal and Anger of the Gods . Check it out, Anger of the Jund (Standard).

@Epicbatman Xenagos is a house. He is everything Jund ever wanted in a planswalker, He can overwhelm opponents with my 2/2 satyr buddies, he ramps huge aounts of mana into my polukranos or rakdos's return and his alt is a game ender. And vraska is a beast as well tick her up and your opponent has to sac creatures to kill her, - m her and boom goes a threat. alt is a game winner, having bot walkers on the field is epic, side by side they are a massive threat and swings the game completely.

I like this deck a lot man +1. I had similar cards lying around so i decided to throw something together that is similar to this. I might have to agree that Stormbreath Dragon is a better choice of my beloved Underworld Cerberus , although Anger of the Gods exiles creatures that died, most of your opponents creatures that you kill won't be exiled. On top of that, if you whip back stuff then your own graveyard will be exiled. Thus giving your opponent an upper hand if they killUnderworld Cerberus . But idk. gotta love the three headed beast
