Sideboard

--==::(([REMOVAL]))::==--

3x Far / Away --- Little slow against aggro, but I'm finding standard to be very slow right now, so it can do work.

4x Hero's Downfall --- Kills almost any threat.

4x Ratchet Bomb --- What makes the deck tick. I played this deck at Grand Prix Albuquerque running 3 of these mainboard, but more often than not, I wished I had a 4th in the mainboard. It's good against MUD, it's good against RDW, it's good against MBD, it's good against esper. What more do you want?

--==::(([COUNTERSPELLS]))::==--

3x Syncopate --- Turn 2 counterspell, sometimes that's really important...

3x Dissolve --- Late-game counterspell.

--==::(([THREATS]))::==--

4x Pack Rat --- Arguably the best card in standard... can single-handedly beat out the top 2 decks in the format if not killed the turn it is played.

3x Prognostic Sphinx --- Either it blocks for days while turning every card in your hand into a counterspell for kill cards, or it swings 3 in the air every turn virtually guaranteeing that you draw a good card each turn. (the digging this card provides is INSANE)

--==::(([MISCELLANEOUS]))::==--

4x Thoughtseize --- I don't care what anyone else says, this card is good against EVERY deck. Its only weakness is your opponent top-decking better than you.

3x Divination --- Cuz it's better than ashiok. (true story)

4x Jace, Architect of Thought --- Gotta have card draw :D

Got my first 5-0 FNM last night, super exciting feeling, especially with a deck that no one's seen before :D (I was also on the draw every single match, so I was very surprised I won)

Round 1- 2:1 vs Boros Burn = Lost game 1 with a slow hand vs triple Ash Zealot on the play, picked up games 2/3 with Prognostic Sphinx scrying into counterspells to keep myself alive.

Round 2- 2:0 vs Rakdos Control, prognostic sphinx scried to victory after baiting out opponent's Devour Flesh on Pack Rats.

Round 3- 2:1 vs Mono-Blue Devotion - Lost game 1 on the draw, missed a land drop and wasn't able to make a T3 rat token. Games 2/3 were won with T2 pack rat, make a bunch of rats.

Round 4- 2:0 vs Orzhov Control - Had answers for his threats, and once prognostic sphinx resolved, it was gg. Elsepth, Sun's champion couldn't remove it and I scried into a Ratchet Bomb for the tokens. (Jace, Architect of Thought also performed very well)

Round 5- 2:0 vs Mono-Black, splash red for Rakdos's Return and Dreadbore - As was true with the other black control matchups, it was just a matter of who could play the first threat that the other side couldn't kill. Pack rat and prognostic sphinx to victory.

Only change I've made since then is I've added 1x AEtherling -1x Dark Betrayal in SB, and -3x Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver, +3x Divination in main.
