@Nuggettt - You should see the platemail + aetherling shenanigans in this deck... Equip... unblockable... pump 8 times... swing a 16/1 unblockable? Or you just swing with aetherling equipped, pretend you forgot to blink him, then when they swing into your tapped aetherling, you blink him, activate plate mail and block.

Beetall sweet deck! +1

I think mill is definitely a good way to go against Mono-Blue

Beetall Oh I know haha I was just saying that you have a nice deck, I just think mill is a good way to go haha

I mean negating everything they throw out and just straight slaughtering them is where I would go cuz I have bad luck constructing mill decks

if I am not mistaken, the tokens of pack rat do not have a mana cost, correct?

Pack Rat actually does have a mana cost, because they are copies of Pack Rat rather than just tokens.

@GamerSonX that also means that if you sacrifice a ratchet bomb with 2 counters on it, all pack rats, tokens and nontokens, will all be destroyed.

okay i wasn't sure, and also did research into this on Wizards website, only tokens that are copies have mana costs. okay cool, learn something new everyday.

Instead of waiting until turn 6 to use Opportunity , why not drop your curve so you can draw EARLIER to speed up your deck? You can use Inspiration for 2 cards as early as turn 4.

Yes Opportunity allows you to draw more cards, but against aggro how often do you need to draw on turn 6? If you don't need to remove something (or else spend a 2 drop removal spell) you can cast Inspiration instead. It's also easier on the mana requiring only one blue.

@harrydemon117 - This deck rarely has trouble against aggro decks, I originally ran inspiration, but it never did what I needed, which was to fill up my hand in the late-game. Opportunity is much more potent and if you resolve one, you are basically guaranteed a win against aggro. (It's basically a poor man's Sphinx's Revelation , it's not a replacement for Think Twice , if you get my meaning.

I appreciate the suggestion though!

Hey no problem. I myself am running Grixis and was wondering which would be better. Originally, I struggled against aggro but I had cards like Jace, Architect of Thought and Steam Augury that would help sculpt my hand mid-late game. Maybe I should make the switch to Opportunity

I just like have a lower average CMC of the deck so it is "faster" at getting to what I need. Maybe you are correct thought and I should go for "more draw" since I have the 4 CMC draw engines already. +1!
