Maybeboard

Welcome to my deck which seamlessly blends decent power with a ton of fun. It has huge creatures, lots of lifegain, and is even great in both multiplayer and two-player matches. Let's get down to the cards.

ENABLERS

These are the cards that fill up the graveyard, preferably with creatures.

Grisly Salvage: It's an instant, I can keep almost anything, and it flips five cards. This is probably the most powerful of the bunch. You can even use it as a Giant Growth-esque combat trick for Splinterfright and co.

Satyr Wayfinder: This one is a creature, which is the biggest thing that makes it great. I need a very high creature density in order to make sure that milling is efficient, and this helps with that. Though this isn't the most powerful enabler, it's probably the best one in the deck.

Mulch : Ironically, this is the best way to get 3+ creatures in the graveyard. Karma.

Stinkweed Imp : This is a little bit of a different one. It's usually a little disappointing to have in my hand because it costs 3 mana. However, it's a decent card (kind of like a Vampire Nighthawk wannabe) and the dredge works so well that it's worth it.

I'm also considering Commune with the Gods taking up one or two slots here.

FEEDERS

These are the fatties that dine on the delicious creature cards in my graveyard.

Boneyard Wurm : Small, quick, and efficient. My problem with this guy is that it's extremely hard to drop him turn 2 since it's rare that I actually have anything in the grave on that turn. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of removing him or adding a fast sacrificing creature like Uktabi Drake .

Splinterfright: The biggest thing about this guy is that he has trample. He also mills me for two each turn, which helps pump him and his friends up.

Nighthowler: This dude might just be the best one in the deck. I almost always enchant him, and some of my favorite targets for that include Birds of Paradise, Satyr Wayfinder, and Splinterfright. He also counts creatures in ALL graveyards, which is extremely strong in multiplayer. This synergizes well with Jarad's sac ability. I lose a Satyr Wayfinder, which has, say, 6 power, and my Nighthowler sticks around. Fantastic.

Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord (sorry, autocard for this doesn't work): Can be safely milled away and pulled back from the yard. His sac ability is game-breaking. I've pulled him from the graveyard, cast him, and flung a Nighthowler-wearing Splinterfright to steal the game out of nowhere. (And, um, I had 4 cards in my library at the time). And on top of that, he's a huge beater himself!

Kessig Cagebreakers: He costs five, but all those wolves are just so good. They come in tapped and attacking. Just remember that you can attack the guy with no board presence with the Cagebreakers to protect him, and then send the wolves elsewhere. He can get bonkers.

SUPPORT

Birds of Paradise: It's a creatures, it wears Nighthowler like a champ, it helps cast said Nighthowler, fixes my mana, and lets me run fewer lands. There's nothing bad about this card.

Gnaw to the Bone : This can put me up 20+ life pretty easily. I always feel safe with three mana up and one of these in my graveyard.

Whip of Erebos: This is a newcomer, lifted from Standard versions of the deck. It's pretty mana intensive, but lifelink on all of my creatures is a huge game changer. Plus, the ability to pull Splinterfrights and company from my grave for a turn if I'm short on life or can finish someone is a big deal.

Shriekmaw: A kill spell on a creature. Can also stick around if necessary.

Murderous Cut : Just in case I'm fighting a black deck, where Shriekmaw doesn't work. Having one is a lot better than having none when I can pull it back with Nyx Weaver.

Leave me a comment with your suggestions; I'll consider anything thrown my way.* I'm currently testing the new addition of Whip of Erebos. I'm considering adding a big beater like Hornet Queen to whip back out of the yard. Let me know what you think of that idea.

Exception: I've had Ghoultree mentioned a lot and I don't want it here. It only goes up to 10/10 and only gets cheap when I have lots of mana. Plus, there's no trample.

Updates Add

Removed Life's Legacy. It seems awesome, but in reality you have to sac a creature and then you often overdraw yourself. You put yourself behind on board presence and end up discarding several cards eot. While it does have synergy with Nighthowler, Whip of Erebos has synergy with every big creature in the deck (especially Kessig Cagebreakers). As such, I've swapped a pair of the first card for a pair of the second.

Also wiped old comments.
