Dear KAU CEO,
I have a suggestion for KAU. After extensive research with the antiquated Soul of New Phyrexia I have found this artifact construct as a viable and yet often over looked machination that offers amazing results in the battlefield against possible rivals. This war machine is truly splendid and through the marvels of Phyrexian technology it has the ability to make all other constructs and soldiers indestructible. However these machines will not be available for long, a couple of months and they will be decommissioned. Also as you would expect there mana consumption is quite substantial, however against the Abzan house and the Esper mind mages this could be a valuable addition to your sideboard projects for such enemies. I hope that this product would be of interest and if so don't worry about contacting us, we will contact you if we find you have interest.
To future business Endeavors,
Multiverse Underground Market Guild

Dear Mr.grizzly
As I am sure you are aware the KAU is a fine upstanding business who does not do dealings with shady organisations such as the MUMG. (wink)
Please do not solicit us with any more illegal offworld technology. (wink.wink)
Thank you and good day.

Honorable Dangerous00Dave,
It is unfortunate that you are not interested in our products. I must inform you that our Phyrexian machines are definitely not held in the Bloodstained Mire of the kolaghan territories of Tarkir. I would not speak with the Bloodsoaked Champion of the Mardu mercenaries that are there guarding said product, they will not be waiting for your associates. I hope that this "nonexistent" product satisfies whoever happens to pick it up.
Best Regards,MUMG
p.s this deck is awesome! +1

I get that Reclusive Artificer mesh well with your deck, but there are better options; simple burn spells like Exquisite Firecraft or Lightning Strike to control the board, or something like Stoke the Flames that make uses of all your Thopter token

Dear sirs, madams, and others,
As a representative of the esteemed Izzet University of PAIN since its standard inception some years prior, I would very much like to add artifact manufacturing to our curriculum. Would you be willing to participate in a Kaladesh-Ravnica-Innistrad exchange program? I promise it will be beneficial for all involved.
Yours,Prof. Dr. Sr. MrCorn, Esq.

Hi magnetcrocodile thanks for looking at my deck.
I have no doubt what you are saying is correct and changes will be made once I can assemble all the pieces, sleeve up and play.
First I just want to jam in as many new and juicy cards as I can.

Dear MrCorn
As we move into this modern age of business pressure to move away from planned obsolescence, we here at the KAU recognise our need to move forward with an eye to the future. We cannot rely for much longer on the outdated methods our interrogation unit currently use Shrapnel Blast. In saying this, a shared learning experience with your University I believe, will provide a mutually beneficial experience for both organisations.
A representative of the KAU Darksteel Colossus will arrive shortly at your fine institution to negotiate the arrangement.
Good Day Sir

Upon further investigation, my Theros and Lorwyn chums have advised the use of Springleaf Drums to raise morale. And mana production.

Dangerous00Dave, would it not be wise to also send Pia and Kiran Nalaar as our chief representatives to the Izzet University of PAIN?

How well has Ghostfire Blade worked for you? I feel like it can just be a dead draw sometimes. Granted, this is just coming from speciation about the card. And I feel like there should be a second Tomb of the Spirit Dragon.

Ghostfire Blade is an all-star. A turn one Ornithopter becomes much less useless with this played on turn 2. It can be played and attached with a Renowned Weaponsmith, and gives your thopter tokens much more reach.

This is a nice deck you have manufactured. I've always been playing Standard Artifacts since M15 and I'm currently modifying my older build with the new cards. I'm still in testing and require another artificer to assist me. If it's not a bother, would you kindly give me some opinions on the new artifact and artifact support cards? Such as cards worth testing and others that I should avoid.
Also, +1 for the KAU.

Just for the effort you put into the description. One question though, why 0 Phyrexian Revokers in the sideboard?
It doesn't shut down everything but can really hose an opponent's Planeswalkers, Mana Dorks, Whisperwood Elemental's sacrifice ability, other good examples i'm missing, etc. Not the best but seems like it should have a spot to two there in the side board of an artifact based deck.

Good point Moosh. This is another card I completely over looked when throwing this rag-tag deck together, but have now added to the sideboard. Thanks.
July 13, 2015 7:32 p.m.
You should really go for 4 of Ensoul Artifact and 4 of Thopter Spy Network. Both cards are just too good to pass up. In addition, both Reclusive Artificer and Renowned Weaponsmith are dead-weight cards. Artificer generally wont deal much damage and the haste isn't that useful. Weaponsmith comes out too slow to be of use.

EASILY the best version of Izzet artifacts I have seen so far. +1Considering the amount of removal around at the moment would you ever consider either mainboarding or sideboarding Stubborn Denial? Also, might I enquire as to whether or not my application to the Kaladesh Artificers Union (KAU) has been successful? My kids need to eat...

+1I would love to join the KAU but my one worry is the thropter's structural integrity, a Obelisk of Urd might reinforce them.

Dear kae_jay and westonawhite
We wish to formally announce that your request to join the KAU has been accepted. Report immediately to the Darksteel Citadel for your induction. There you will be fitted for your cape and pointy hat.
Your suggestions forStubborn Denial and Obelisk of Urd are both very valid and we will judge their individual merits in due course.

I appreciate your feedback hamie96 and am going to explore all possibilities moving forward with this deck. At the moment it is built more for flavour than anything else, but there will be significant tuning made when I can gather all the pieces.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has upvoted, commented on, or just viewed this rag tag collection of 75 cards.
For something that was slapped together quickly with a little flavour added to the mix, to currently sit at #3 is quite an achievement for my little band of misfits.
But the KAU demands world domination so keep the +1's coming.

Dreamer1997 Artificer's Epiphany isn't in here, because you have more important things to do on turns 3, 4, 5, and 6. I'm also thinking about putting in Tormod's Crypt to fight the Abzan Menace.

leetwizard the KAU recommends that when you do open the Perilous Vault that you are sure to wear the right protective equipment Pyromancer's Goggles.
Unfortunately due to restrictive trade tariffs and time restrictions, the KAU does not normally conduct business on the plane of Theros. However individual exceptions can be made in extraordinary circumstances.
