Unfortunately Dreamer1997 our Chief Engineer after many years of fine service to the KAU was stood down from active duty. He didn't take his demotion very well it should be said. As he was being escorted from the facility by security (Scuttling Doom Engine) he tried to activate his Nevinyrral's Disk in an attempt to destroy his life work. Luckily his attempt was thwarted and he is currently being detained by security inside the Perilous Vault.

As for Bonded Construct our faithful little friend is being carefully evaluated by our expert team of artificers to ascertain whether he can be an effective member of the KAU team or not.

Seeing as how the costs of running the KAU have increased, and the budget, too, I suggest we get some of followers of Keranos, God of Storms in the KAU. They like to live in a Temple of Epiphany, so I suggest building those. This is also no longer under $50.

Ugin's Nexus seems like a card that could be fun if you're not looking to be competitive.

Also, considering the amount of creatures that bring in other creatures or make other creature upon dying, how about Impact Tremors, Purphoros, God of the Forge, or Outpost Siege

I have used Ugin's Nexus in earlier pre-origins versions of this deck, and must admit it is very satisfying to blow it up with Shrapnel Blast. It is also a viable mid/late game target for an Ensoul Artifact.

I actually really like the idea of Impact Tremors thank you bobano

Alas we have hired Keranos, God of Storms as a consultant on previous projects we have undertaken, and have found his work ethic not to be in keeping with the standards we here uphold at the KAU.

@leetwizard The price of the raw materials and manufacturing costs to assemble our range of Hangarback Walkers has recently skyrocketed, resulting in an unforeseen rise in our budgeting estimates. Rob Solemn Simulacrum in accounts has assured us though, that dividends are still on track to be paid to all shareholders this FQ as estimated.

Just curious why only one Darksteel Citadel (vs. 4 Foundry of the Consuls)? Wouldn't you want more opportunities for 5/5 indestructibles via Ensoul Artifact versus paying 5 to sac the Foundry and get 2 Thopters?

July 23, 2015 10:11 p.m.

My reasoning lctofu for that balance is:

I currently don't run Ensoul Artifact mainboard so not really worried about that lack of interaction there with Darksteel Citadel. I still run the one to ensure I have an artifact post board wipe to "switch on" Thopter Spy Network to keep them thopters churning out.

Four Foundry of the Consuls may be a little overkill, but I like having an instant speed recovery plan considering the sheer number of board wipes available that just completely hose us.

Gotcha- that makes sense! Didn't catch Ensoul is in the side vs main. I've been considering Mizzium Meddler in the side to deal with Biles and similar token-killers. Obvs doesn't deal with non-target specific wipes, but could save some bacon perhaps. Love the deck build-- thx for sharing!

I used a slightly incomplete version of this deck in my FNM standard this week and ended up 3-2, but really liked the deck! One thing I'd suggest is to consider side boarding in Orbs of Warding for burn matchups, because other than the current sideboard mindswipes this deck doesn't really have an answer to burn.

I just picked a couple up for that exact reason All_Regent

I believe the power of Tezzeret will only strengthen the K.A.U. When we use his "gifts" to channel our strength into much more pointy hats and exquisite mustaches. (Victory maybe as a side note) I would also like to request a meeting to talk about an upcoming promotion? My whirler squad is threatening mutiny. I vote we exterminate said problem. (It's a great deck luv the description)

August 5, 2015 midnight

You will be pleased to know InnistradVsPhyrexia that Tezza is already a valued member of the KAU. As well as being vice-president in charge of marketing, he is also the team captain of the social chess club and staff christmas party committee member.

A meeting has been set next Tuesday the following to "discuss" your employment status. Those rogues can be very slippery please exercise caution whilst trying to subdue them.

Kaladesh Artificers Union, we will not stand this intolerable action against our forest, for years now your Chief of the Foundry's have been commanding artificers to chop down our trees for use in your dreadful furnaces. This action must be stopped or our elf warriors will wage war against your artificers. For all who want to join us the application process is easy first report to the Sylvan Messenger who will bring your application process to Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen our leader, she will review it for application. If you are accepted (which most recruits are) then you have a few options for work, you can work with the Gnarlroot Trapper's to trap animals and gather food for our tribe, you could join the Thornbow Archer's and defend our tribe for attacks. If you are increasing talented you might have the chance to join Dwynen's Elite and their talented mages the Elvish Mystic who can cast the powerful spells Chord of Calling and Collected Company or you might join our talented Elvish Visionary's who are working on our biggest project yet the Obelisk of Urd.

Dear SusanArcbound Crusher as the leader of an adventurous tribe of elves, i feel as if your artificers have been infringing upon our rights as citizens of the forest, all man, elf, machine and tree are equal, please respect our trees. Our Sylvan Messenger's would like to present a treaty to your guild.

1.1No member of your guild shall cut our trees without the Elvish Mystics approval

2.1Our elves shall not attack your machines or artificers and vice versa

2.2 We shall give you 365 furnace logs a year for your furnaces

2.3You shall give us enough swords and knives to supply all of our soldiers once every 3 years

3.1If either of us are attacked by another force or group the other shall come to their aid with either elf, man or machine.

4.1 If any party involved brakes this treaty then they shall be attacked by the other parties involved.
