**DECK RETIRED**

Hey everyone,

This is a basic champion of lambholt/parish deck. All I want to do is beef either of those two up to win

Examples of starting game:1) Turn 1 play forest and avacyn's pilgrim. Turn 2 another forest and then tap the pilgrim to play champion of lambholt. Following turns consist of playing gather the townsfolk, mayor of avabruck, champion of the parish, or a wolfir silverheart soulbound to the lambholt if i can to really do some damage.

OR

2) Turn 1 play plains and champion of the parish. Turn 2 play forest or plains and play either avacyn's pilgrim, gather the townsfolk, or mayor of avabruck. After that pretty, much the same as first example.

Fiend hunter is here to to add counters to both of my champions, and so he can be used with cloudshift for the double exile combo.

angelic overseer is nice since ill have plenty of humans out

oblivion rings are there for extra exile if need be, having this card has won me games due to games that have been drawn out, while both sides of the battlefield having 1 to 2 creatures. Has removed the blockers they intended on relying on during my turn.

any help/suggestions would be appreciated, in need of a sideboard as well so please help me out! :)

A relatively smaller number of people at the FNM in San Francisco last night. I was told that they usually have many players but for some reason, not last night. I'll give short descriptions on each match. I took 3rd out of the 8 who played that night

First match was against a r/b zombie/demon deck. Game 1: I had a fairly good hand...a few land, a champion of lambholt, an avacyn's pilgrim, and a gather the townsfolk. His hands and draws were better however. As soon as it got my turn three and I dropped lambholt, he played pillar of flame on it and speared anything else I dropped. His gravecrawlers relentlessly attacked me since I couldnt remove his diregraf ghoul. He eventually dropped a hellrider which gave him lethal damage. I never really stood a chance this game, after removing my champion I didnt draw anything helpful, all land :(

Game 2: Even more horrible than the first, despite the fact that I was able to get him down to 7 this game. Had more than enough land to play anything I wanted to the whole game, specifically my green creatures. However, I only drew into my white, while he played a few knights of infamy. I added centaur healer in to keep me in the game, i even cloudshifted a couple times. But those knights continued to punish me. Not much I could have done.

Oh well, 0-2...on to the next.

Second Match was against a friend who I went to the event with, Jund with falkenrath and humans. Game 1: Good start, played champion of the parish, and beefed the hell out of him. My friend had quite a few creatures out too, experiment one was his 1 drop fatty. He go me down to 14 during the course of this game, however, due to me playing 2 mayor of avabrucks, playing the angelic overseer and soulbounding wolfir to it, I was able to put him down.

Game2: Had all kinds of removal for him, after turn three, whatever monster he played I would exile via fiendhunter w/cloudshift. Had 2 mayor's that transformed with an army of werewolf tokens swinging every turn.

2-0 for this one :)

3rd match was against another buddy of mine who plays orzhov. Game 1: We both had a great start, I played champion of the parish and he played diregraf ghoul. I would go on top play a centaur healer, gather the townfolk, and a wolfir silverheart souldbound to the parish. His continuous extort and vampire nighthawk swinging gave him the edge. Then he went on to play victim of the night and took out my champion. My next turn I dropped angelic overseer souldbound with wolfir. He couldnt use victim of the night on either, they carried me to victory. I ended that game with 8 life.

Game 2: He had the most annoying start ever, every turn dropping a thrull parasite and extorting every turn after that. On top of that he dropped a desecration demon on turn 4 and 5 -_____- I had an answer for both of those guys tho, my starting hand gave me two fiendhunters, an avacyn's pilgrim, a forest, a plains, sunpetal grove, and an angelic overseer. Once I was able to rid myself of those pesky demon's, I played the angelic overseer and he had nothing to respond with against it. Extorting for 3 while I would play centaur healer and cloudshift it while swinging my angel for 5 every turn game me the win.

2-0

Overall, wasnt too bad I guess, If I was able to get better draws instead of mana donked during my first match against the r/b deck, I may have been able to get into top 2. Oh well tho, 2-1 for the night...not to shabby. Will be playing there again in the future, hoping for more opponents next time though. Would have liked to played the other deck that was in the top 2 (the r/b deck ended up winning the fnm that night). Looked like a control/mill deck that had answers for everything you played. Too bad it didnt have an answer for the r/b deck's bonfire of the damned when it needed it...both games lol! There was also a simic deck and a esper control at the event as well (my third friend was playing the simic). However, was not able to play either of those two players.

Thanks for reading!
