Time Stretch is good to Mystical Tutor right before you cast jeleva

This is absurd and cruel in all of the best ways. Upvoting

Echo Mage , and Increasing Vengeance are the only real fork spells id suggest for this, any more seems like it'd be a risk hitting them with Jeleva and them being useless. Other cards i think could be solid in this deck are Melek, Izzet Paragon , gives you an idea of what to hit with Jeleva and also allows some pretty sick beatdowns, Liliana Vess as she can tutor for a card and still has value, and Dark Ritual just as an early game and even mid game boost for spells. I like the deck and i love the commander. +1 from me.

Liliana Vess has certainly pulled her weight and is a very welcome addition to the deck! Thank you so much for your input! Melek, Izzet Paragon hasn't impressed me too much, but I've only been able to cast him one game so far. Thank you for the upvotes as well!

One of the new delve cars might be good in this. Treasure Cruise can get you a lot of gas later on for dirt cheap and is not a bad card to start copying either. I know you're not building around delve, but your graveyard will usually be pretty full anyway since you have so many instants and sorceries flying around. You'd have to try it out though to see if you like it.

Scroll Rack can help you put good spells on top from your hand.

Unfortunately, I tend to rely on my grave in part to close out games of EDH, so delving isn't exactly something that I'd be interested in doing. Somehow, I completely forgot that Scroll Rack was a card, and I shall do my best to Acquire one as soon as possible! What would you consider taking out to make room for it?

I also have Jeleva, will post list after I get home (at work right now), fervor and hammer of Purphoros are great haste enablers for getting a cast off jeleva right when she hits. The biggest problem I've had with her is laying down a huge spell and not being able to do anything with it because someone kills her. So I prefer the haste enablers. Get rid on Nephalia drown yard and get hall of the bandit lord. Much better. I like Sorins Vengeance, a good recursion spell is mystic retrieval; would highly suggest that spell, does fantastic work. Ancestral Vision is on the banlist (doesn't matter if the group you play with doesn't care). I run fewer creatures overall, but talrand and young pyromancer would be good additions to keep you safe with chump blocking tokens, I'm definately going to test those two creatures. I have Malek in there right now and tend to agree with you on that. Hes holding his spot for now, but I have a feeling he'll be getting dropped for Talrand. Really like the list.

Umm. Do you like creatures? I don't. Cut them, cos Proteus Staff. I've never played Jeleva, but Narset fancies that card.

also, Strionic Resonator Is OP in decks like this that rely on the commander, like Narset and Zedruu

Lim-Dul's Vault is great for setting up a good turn with Jeleva. I'd replace Eyes of the Watcher for it. Also I think that the new khans lifegain lands are strictly better than the guildgates. Looks like a good list though!

A Grixis EDH deck with no trace of Nicol Bolas? For shame.

Well, I would argue the Grixis poster child for EDH is Nekusar, the Mindrazer...

To be fair, Nekusar does have many a grixis-ian quality. Neku-neku likes to draw cards and deal damage. Neku is a zombie. But Neku also tries to act like he's helping, and everyone knows he isn't Jelevalavelou just flat out lets everyone know that you plan to be the biggest, clashiest, flashiest spell-slinger at the table. I think of Grixis as very flashy; the destruction is a part of their display of power, and it isn't something passive, it's forthright. In terms of actual gameplay, everyone knows what a Nekusar deck is going to do. It's going to play forced fruition and howling mine and kill you with windfalls and sometimes infect for a faster clock. Jeleva can summon armies of zombies, deal large amounts of damage, take extra turns, board wipe, ramp, draw cards, discard cards and do whatever the player desires, all depending on variation.

Fair enough! Your explanation makes sense.

Nice to see you also realized that going the route of extra turns isn't nearly as fun. Thank you for taking an alternate path.
