This is my Nicol Bolas deck. I've been waiting a long time to finally get it to do what I wanted.

The big trick with this deck is the "horrible" mechanic Cipher. Stick it on Invisible Stalker, get Guttersnipe on the field, and these controlling spells become suddenly very dangerous at two damage a piece. Counterflux keeps your opponent under control or your stuff alive. Nightveil Specter and Chromatic Lantern mean anything your opponent plays you can play better. Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker is the ultimate insult to injury when I start destroying their mana base and stealing the creatures they've managed to play. Well timed Tribute to Hungers keep me alive. I can board in Witchbane Orb for burn or so I can't be the target of planeswalkers. Mizzium Mortars destroys weenie decks. Rakdos Charm can kill graveyards or punish RDW for having so many little dudes out. Slaughter Games should be self explanitory. Skullcrack for annoying orzhov decks or to punish people for using Sphinx's Revelation. That's the goal: punish the opponent for playing the game.

+2x Victim of Night

+1x Counterflux

+1x Chromatic Lantern

In testing, it's always Invisible Stalker with a cipher interacting with Guttersnipe that makes the difference. Chromatic Lantern makes it easier to cast their stuff when Nightveil starts exiling stuff. Extra Counterflux because why not? And Victim of Night for the inevitable Obzedat, Ghost Council. Plus more removal is always a good thing. Still considering a single utility land of some sort, I always end up in the late game with nothing to spend my mana on.
