Deck is great. +1

Maybe more Liliana's or maybe add Megrim or card:Liliana's Caress for extra burn with Discard.

If you would, could you check out my version of this Deck (I loved it so much, I made my interpretation of it!): deck:the-ones-who-rule

I playtested this against my U/W control and my G/W pod and your deck worked fairly well, most of the problems your deck had would probably be fixed with your sideboard.

One problem I noticed is that you lack a good draw source for your deck, when playing against a B/U or U/W deck your selective discard spells won't quite have it's expected punch. So the Sign in Blood in your maybe board would probably fix this... and I think that was mainly the only issue I found with your deck.

@shelds9: Thanks! That's not a bad idea, but my discard is specifically dedicated discard as opposed to random discard to disable my opponent while I set up my own win cons. I have a Black/Red deck using Bloodchief Ascension along with Megrim and card:Liliana's Caress as a burn/discard deck with no creatures. But if I was to use Megrim or card:Liliana's Caress the deck has to revolve around mass discard.8) Imitation is the highest form of flattery, sure I'll look at your deck~

@Demarge: Oh nice, thanks so much for the valuable feedback!! Yeah I don't have a good draw source and I have to rely on the solidness of the deck to fuel me thru the game but if I put in draw spells like Sign in Blood I don't know if I'd be able to replace anything with it.

@Karnage, i had Sign in Blood in mine before and it was nice and all but the 2 life is rough. i'm still hoping innistrad will help with draw.

-Re-replaced Ob Nixilis, the Fallen with Vengeful Pharaoh . Without painlands, Ob Nixilis always comes in as just a 3/3 and he doesn't even have trample so I feel the pharaoh is just plain better for me.

-Replaced Vengeful Pharaoh with Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief . I feel like the pharaoh was never really a threat, and could really only stall, while the Obliterator was just plain better. With Drana, I can use her as a mana-sink to assasinate creatures as well as to pump her attack for flying damage. Definitely more threatening then the pharaoh.

You know, instead of choosing between a 5CMC creature, you could just get a 4th Phyrexian Obliterator . He is that good.

First of all +1 i think this is a good deck but i want to ask if you are going to make it post rotation?

This deck looks mean. I agree with the other comment. I think you should take something out for another Obliterator.

@mossflower: Yeah but I like the fact that Drana can assasinate as well as hit for flying damage. She's a very handy mana sink late game as well.

@ShadeSlayer17: Yes of course I plan to make it post-rotation, I have ideas on how to replace things but nothing is final until I see what Innistrad brings to the table.

@jfriday09: It's something I'll have to think about.

To be honest, I don't know if there's much I could offer that would improve on the design. Maybe another Liliana Vess to aid in tutoring.

Potentially drop the Massacre Wurm in favor of another Grave Titan , since the decks which it would be strongest against will have the highest potential of killin you or being board wiped before the Wurm ever hits the field.

That's true, but it's nice against creatures that have protection from black and it has synergy with Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief . (http://mtgsalvation.com/innistrad-spoiler.html) I also cannot wait to see what the new Liliana is like!

The deck looks solid. I am not a huge fan of 1 ofs in any deck, but I also know that sometimes it is necessary. I have to wonder what the Phyrexian Crusader s are for in the side board, and I think you need to mainboard atleast one more spot removal spell. Whether that be Doom Blade or Go for the Throat or Dismember would depend on your local meta. All in all, it looks solid. +1 from me.

Also, I think MBC is going to get a HUGE lift when Innistrad comes out.

The Crusaders are in there to deal with any white or red aggression and also to be very annoying to any white or red decks in general. I really want to put in another Doom Blade but I don't think I can take anything out. I'd have to remove a discard card and I feel like it's just not worth it.

Thank you for the comment.

I cannot wait for Innistrad, Bloodgift Demon looks interesting and am stoked for the new Liliana Vess. There will also be so many tribal decks from illusions to zombies to vamps and werewolves~

Hmmm i like it. You dont have a turn one creature but you have a turn one let me see your hand.. Hmmmm i dont like this card discard it!Despise , or Inquisition of Kozilek and turn two(big word) if he plays a creature, unless he was Despise d just Doom Blade or Go for the Throat or if he doesnt repeat step one with Distress or Inquisition of Kozilek then the fun begins after those 2 turns xD very solid deck, thats how my playtest went very nice +1

I love Nirkana Revenant and Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief in game, with 6 Swamps you can swing 2 Massacre Wurm or Grave Titan

+1 from me

deck:wc-control have you already score this??

With the rotation, Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief and Vampire Nighthawk will both cycle out, and you will have 3 empty slots. A Wurmcoil Engine and 2 Bloodgift Demons seems like a reasonable allocation of those open slots. I was considering Bloodgift Demon myself for Kill Order, because it offers a Phyrexian Arena effect for draw power in addition to being a 5/4 beatstick with flying. It does die to some removal, notably Dismember , Grasp of Darkness , Go for the Throat , and a metalcrafted Galvanic Blast , but it still offers a considerable threat.

Consume the Meek , Tectonic Edge , [Liliana Vess]], Sadistic Sacrament , and Vampire Hexmage will all also be gone with the rotation. The logical choice would be to find equivalent Standard cards to replace them. Hex Parasite for Hexmage, Ghost Quarter for Tec Edge, Surgical Extraction /Memoricide for Sacrament, etc. However, being that you retain a large number of the key components to this deck, it will be strong in the new meta.

I think Bloodgift demon will work well along with liliana of the veil. With rotation you're going to lose Consume the meek as well. I'd probably just add another Black Sun to work with it. I think there are a few cards that are going to have flashback and have some reanimation cards in innistrad so it is a little early to tell exactly what cards are going to fit in here to go with liliana of the veil. Moan of the unhallowed might pair well with liliana though, we'll have to see.

Agreed. I believe this deck will probably see many changes due to Innistrad. :) +1

2 Bloodgift Demon will be a great replacement for Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief and Liliana Vess . Atm, throwing in another card:Black Sun's Zenith seems viable to replace the Consume the Meek but being able to cast that at instant speed to wipe their 3CMC board is soo sick ><. Liliana of the Veil is cool and all but the discard ability is harsh atm with my current deck, we will have to see what else Innistrad brings to the table. I don't see how she would pair well with Bloodgift Demon tho. She'd be great in a zombies deck, but I don't think putting in a Moan of the Unhallowed could be better than the dread Phyrexian Obliterator . I COULD throw in Army of the Damned for lulz but I'm trying to keep it competitive. I am both excited and anxious to see what Innistrad has to offer for replacements on the cards that are rotating out. Please come back after Innistrad is released! And of course, thank you for your comments and ratings :)

I could even replace Consume the Meek with a card:Curse of Death's Hold but it's only -1/-1 so I don't know what to think. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
