This is a list of Pauper-legal cards that have, at one time or another, been printed at a rarity other than Common.

Cards like Mortician Beetle and Crypt Rats were first printed as either rares or uncommons, but then later printed at the common rarity, thus making all editions of this card pauper-legal, in perpetuity (or an unlikely banning). Other cards like Lightning Bolt and Rancor were mostly printed as commons, but have an occasional printing here or there at uncommon or higher that might confuse people newer to pauper. That means they belong on this list, because regardless of what version of the card you're holding, if it's on this list, it's legal in Pauper.

Since I want this list to be a usable resource for those who play Pauper EDH (or pEDH/PDH) also, the Maybeboard includes cards banned in pauper, but they are still legal in PDH, which has no actual banlist as of yet.

If you know of any cards like this that aren't already here, please suggest them, and thanks in advance for your help, support and +1s.

And for those of you who are curious about the "murky" rarities of older (aka, vintage) cards, check out this link. It has a lot of information about Pauper cards from older sets.

Updates Add

mr.pdh pointed out I had forgotten to updated this list in ages, so I went ahead and fixed that. I added the last two years worth of rarity-shifted pauper cards. Now this list is HUGE.

Enjoy, and happy brewing!
