Sideboard

Maybeboard

Why not plant your seed within this Prosper, Tome-Bound deck just in time for Commander: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms release?

I won't say that this is the best Prosper deck on TappedOut. I will say that this is a very fun deck that your friends won't hate to play against and you can feasibly win with. Plus there is a non-zero chance your friends will be in awe of your absolutely ridged brain.

"What am I looking at?"

I tend to include headings to help organize things so I'm going to run through my thought process. To start, cards cast through Cascade trigger Propser and give you a Treasure. The Rebound cast of a spell with Rebound triggers Prosper and gives you a treasure. Oriq Loremage can thin your deck down by moving spells with Retrace or Flashback into your graveyard. You can cast the Retrace versions from there and play the thrown away lands using Crucible of Worlds. This also helps get your graveyard stacked for Mizzix's Mastery. Cards in 'Safe Card Exile' either have an effect that keeps the cards in exile until you cast them or let you cast them for free. Conversely, 'Unsafe Card Exile' are effects that exile the card and they need to be cast by the end of turn.

As for Bitter Ordeal: each Treasure your sacrifice on your turn hits your graveyard for the sake of building up Gravestorm triggers so you can cast it after a board wipe or after spending a lot of Treasure tokens. After that, look into your opponent's library and hit key combo pieces, old Eldrazi, or lands. It's a 'great' way to hobble an opponent's deck until you can win through another mean.

Sideboard includes cards that I think are good and could very much earn their own place in the deck (though some might need some tuning to fit your build). Maybeboard are cards that you could look into if you have the budget.

"But what about-

Revel in Riches?"

It's too easy to win the game with Revel in Commander; especially with a deck like this that is very much built around it. If it said 'sacrifice ten Treasure; target player loses the game' or you won off of twenty treasures, I'd consider it. For now, I'll pass.

Dust Bowl?"

I like running one or two land destruction lands in my deck but I try not to pick anything super mean. I mostly wanted something that could be slotted in to synergize with Crucible of Worlds without having to embrace the foul magics of broader land destruction.

Update 1 [7/26/21]: Alright, my copy of the deck arrived in the mail today! Gonna make updates as I do live testing with it. Update 2 [8/16/21]: I did some live testing with other players (and stopped smoking meth) and have edited the deck to be way more consistent.
