but have you given thought to adding in 1x Archetype of Imagination . You probably know better then i do, but i just thought of mentioning it because it doesn't seem that bad

Not sure what I would cut for it. Also Archetype of Endurance probably is the most useful, but as a 8 drop, even that doesn't have a viable fit. Thanks for the +1 , the deck has been very fun to play

Hey, cool deck! Upvote from me, you should totally check mine out The Claws of Kruphix

4-2-1 is a decent result. Myself I used to play this archetype but I got turned off by Abzan's downfalls and Jeskai's Lightning Strikes. Prophet and Yisan just died doing nothing. This hasn't been a problem for you?

No deck has been able to keep up with my number of threats so far. Yes they kill alot of stuff, but with 34 creatures in the deck and half of them being atleast 4 power, you can easily grind out wins. If they are spending mana removing threats means they are not spending mana on their own threats. It has served me very well so far, and has been very resilient

just another little thing you may or may not have know is that when you activate Yisan, the Wanderer Bard's ability, you can then untap him and then retap him in response so that way when they both resolve Yisan, the Wanderer Bard would have 2 counters and you would be able to play down 2 creatures with cmc of 2 or bellow instead of 1 cmc and 2 cmc (you can apply that idea to whatever number of counters that were on him). Thats just a little tip that can give you a little more option. As i said, you may or may not have known that but if you didn't, now you do!

I notice every matchup you take out Yisan and KF. Is the card not working then?
November 5, 2014 4:49 p.m.
@nleming17, your statement does not make sense. You cannot untap Yisan, the Wanderer Bard without Kiora's Follower or another untap effect...
@jubale...please take your trolling elsewhere...the interactions work just fine, and the deck as a whole is a champ. there is a reason for a sideboard, and they are all listed above
November 5, 2014 6:04 p.m.
About what lneming said, yes you use Kiora's Follower to untap the bard. If you have 6 mana you can uptick the bard twice and get 2 cards at the higher number.
As for me, I'm not trolling. I'm seriously interested in a working Yisan deck, because I know from experience he can bring a lot of power to the table.I had given up because the card was proving ineffective in the current metagame but I'm hoping to find a configuration that he works in.
When I asked for a playing strategy, I wanted to know if you had a strategy of playing him late to dodge removal or to present a powerful board before activating him, or do you often play him early to draw out removal? Maybe it varies depending on the opposition?
It appears he's boarded out in games 2 and 3 vs everybody, meaning you are straight G/U devotion with the Prophet. So does this mean the Bard is good in game 1s but not after sideboarding? Obvously you are bringing in specific cards for the matchup, but it makes me wonder if he's just proving subpar across all matches.

Reading again, I think I get it. You have in mind to find specific answer cards in the first game using Yisan. Then you side in more answer cards the second game so you can draw them naturally. That's different. I imagined keeping the bard main, adding the answer cards and removing other cards that don't serve the particular matchup.

Got it. I am available to help playtest anytime on untap.in
Email me [email protected] and we can work something out. More often than not yisan serves as a 3 mana eat removsl card..which is fine in this meta and its lack of removal. Otherwise he is a win more or sideboard within the mainboard kind of a card, being able to tutor up answers to current game state in game 1. He gets sided out, because as you stated, there are more effective options available in combating the meta. Also, if you win game 1 using the engine, game 2 they are siding in against him and you have completely changrd your strategy

thats exactly what i mean, jubale just said it a lot better then i did.
November 5, 2014 9:05 p.m.
I don't see the point in running Flooded Strand if the only target it has is Island. It seems like you'd be better off just running an extra island.
November 8, 2014 2:11 a.m.
Theres 2 islands that it can fetch, it shuffles and thins the deck.

go with Stubborn Denial to protect against early game bs like ensoul artifact and mid to late game sweepers

Alright thanks then. I'm glad a deck like this exist it's fun to play and really makes people question whats going on. I did take this to a GPT a few months ago prior to FRF coming out and made top 4 with only play testing it a few times i meant to inform you, but right after that some stuff happened and i couldn't get online. In a few months a PPTQ will be around here and i was hoping i could take this deck if your willing to let me use it then.

I presume this deck made some sense at some time, or it wouldn't have 17 Upvotes...
I'm sorry, but what is this deck?
April 5, 2016 11:13 p.m.
Lol at this list. It used to be a green ramp deck with some very interesting power plays. That's what I upvoted anyway.
April 6, 2016 2:20 p.m.
Call me crazy, but shouldn't this deck have at least SOME lands?

Amazing deck. I personally created a more ramp based, and dumbed down version of this, but I am going to just try and play a somewhat budget version of your deck.
