I'm happy you liked my deck, I've been putting a lot of effort and time on it, and it's always good to see other people liking the result of that!

enpc: That one seems useful as well. I think Rite of Replication works different than this one, and both have their own perks. The tokens, or the "wipe proof", besides activating both of them, the vindicate effect!

Another one that I will add to my "must get" list, thanks!

Conjurer's Closet is also a fun flicker card that means you would get to blow something up every turn also Progenitor Mimic could be fun you get more creatures they loose something every turn always a good trade off plus on turn 6 you should have some kind of non basic land to get him out with.

i find that in a scarecrow deck with lots of blue mana to spare a copy of Training Grounds or two might help, of course, the only card it'll effect for you is Scarecrone , so it might not be as helpful to you

I tried making a scarecrow deck before. Have you considered Skeleton Shard ?

Wow! Thank you all for all the feedback and votes! :)It really feels good to see that other people find this interesting!

somensjev, you know that I was searching for a card like that one for a long time, and a while ago I found that one, but as you say, since it's only useful for Scarecrone , plus, I'm not having mana issues, since the scarecrows are cheap and I often end having more mana that I can use I left it out.

ClockworkSwordfish, Skeleton Shard is not a bad idea at all, but at the moment, I feel like I have it covered with Scarecrone , Academy Ruins , Buried Ruin , and even Haunted Fengraf .

jakonater Yeah, they are great, thanks for that! The only drawback that I see, is that I'm poor, haha, so, as well as the Cavern of Souls , they are GREAT additions to the deck. City of Brass seems more affordable though.

I think I'm missing a bunch of comments, I will reply as soon as possible. Thanks again guys!

I really love your deck and the strategy that it plays. I love it so much that I actually built a deck very similar to yours based on Reaper King . After playing with it for a little while, I was just thinking, do you think that Jawbone Skulkin would be a better fit instead of Heap Doll ? They are exactly the same except for their abilities, and I think that Jawbone might speed up the strategy in the right situation.

The real issue I run into when playing this deck is that when I bring Scarecrone onto the field, I have to wait until my next turn before I can use her ability to bring back Reaper King , to begin the Vindicate, or another scarecrow to activate the Vindicate. Looking at Jawbone, if I have Scuttlemutt on the field, I can use his second ability on Scarecrone, the turn it enters the field, then use Jawbone Skulkin 's ability to give Scarecrone haste, allowing me to activate Scarecrone's second ability in the same turn. Now I know that combo is pretty situational, but I never tend to see myself using Heap Doll 's ability, like ever. Just curious what you think.

RooskyDoosky I'm very happy to read that, honestly. I've put a lot of effort into this deck, and I'm very glad to know that other people enjoy and like this deck that much even to create a customized version. It's an honor!

The idea, at least on paper, seems pretty good. To be honest, from all the MTG scarecrows, the skulkins seemed to me as the most crappy and useless ones, except, maybe, in commander. (Even tough the art is great). But, I must say, in this case, those particular little scarecrows seem interesting.

I mean, your idea won't only work with the Scuttlemutt but also with the Painter's Servant as well.I'm not quite sure to replace them completely tough, since the Heap Doll has its (hers, his?) own perks.

The removal from the cemetery It's probably and underrated ability, but yeah, pretty situational too. That part will be the "bonus", the important part, or the most "usable" part in this deck is the ability to sacrifice it, for free, so you can return it with Scarecrone for the vindicate effect saving mana for something else. Using Scarecrone you can sacrifice them and draw a card, sure, with the cost, (which by the way is pretty low, yeah), but you have another option for that, with the removal.

Well at the end, seems more like a matter of personal preference, but if possible it may be good to combine them both, IDK, I'm gonna take a better look, but I liked the idea!

MaxoBug , I do agree, getting Heap Doll in the graveyard for free is useful and something that I have exploited while playing this deck. Using this deck, I have been in the situation a couple of times where I can't get Scarecrone to survive to the next turn to start the Vindicate. I wish there was an easier way to give it haste, because Jawbone Skulkin does feel possibly too situational, and Heap Doll 's ability might be more consistently useful. I think I am just going to have to pick up some Jawbone's and test them out.

Thanks for the comments!

Love scarecrow decks, check out my land destruction themed scarecrow commander I am the wicker man; your lands will burn! It is a joy to play. Plus one from me!

I like this variant of the scarecrows. Definitely a lot different than mine. It's nice to see fellow Scarecrow users out there in the world. :) I will have to post mine soon. +1 -

I love this deck. The only recommendation I would make is Unscythe, Killer of Kings it is impractical...I realize this...but SO much flavor!! Haha. Thank you for a plausible Reaper King build. I really want to build an an EDH deck around him and this deck has great combo ideas, thank you! If I do get it built, would you mind taking a look at it for me?
