Praise the spirit, the time has finally come! Karlov has finally given lifegain decks a non-boring way to actually win a game!

This deck functions on a few different levels: pillow fort control, soul sisters aggro, and resilient equipment carrier midrange, depending on how you want to play it out. With plenty of lifegain effects, Karlov complements the standard Pridemate and can reliably get large, adding both unconditional creature removal and a super beater (he can actually attack for 10 on turn 3 under the right circumstances).

As a side bonus for all the lifegain, you open up access for additional black draw that doesn't hurt nearly as much, which is essential for keeping your foot on the gas and pressuring the opponent. Running out of steam with this deck is not the commonplace occurrence.

The deck also runs a small subtheme of sacrifice and reanimation that adds to the lifegain theme and keeps threats coming, especially when combined with powerful equipment to push through. With the right tools, even a lowly 1/1 is super powerful. Just bring it back and hit hard.
