How often do you actually use Azusa, Lost but Seeking? It seems to me that it wouldn't be very useful, you would rather hold up counterspells than play her to get one extra land drop.

lemmingllama I have playtested this deck with Oracle of Mul Daya in place of Azusa, and have found her mush more capable of being relevant.

Maybe try the Mikaeus, the Unhallowed combo with Triskelion. I've had success with that.
March 14, 2015 8:15 a.m.
johnsaverman Mikaeus, the Unhallowed is too slow for this deck, by the time I have 6 mana open I want to be able to cast The Mimeoplasm and win. I used to have that combo in here, but it got cut.

No problem, I think I'll go build my own Mimeoplasm deck now.
March 14, 2015 8:22 a.m.
my only question is can you get away with 28 lands it seems like a bit too little
March 14, 2015 4:21 p.m.
Bnon I have 9 fetches, mana is the least of my concerns with this deck.
March 14, 2015 4:34 p.m.
Femme_Fatale says... #10
Don't separate the fetches from the rest of the mana base, it just confuses people. All lands should be in one category.

The description is still annoying and usually I would not upvote anyone who begs for them. That being said, it looks pretty darn powerful. I have a EDH deck based around Sidisi, and I would suggest Jodah's Avenger + Thornling + Wall of Blood over your current combo with Nooze. The Devourer's exiling makes it too hard for any graveyard based deck. Jodah's Avenger is also a great creature to copy with Mimeoplasm, since it makes it unblockable and double-striking (as is Thornling for similar reasons), while Triskelion and Devourer are useless alone.
March 14, 2015 5:13 p.m.
Daedalus19876 I'm sorry to tell you this, but that combo sucks. The current Necrotic Ooze combo I run doesn't involve combat steps, so it is much more successful than what you suggested. I generally don't want to be attacking with The Mimeoplasm, as that opens me up to a lot more disruption. This deck is finely tuned to the combos I play, and I rarely ever draw them, as I can tutor them so quickly that drawing them is a rare occurrence. If I ever do draw them, I have discard engines (Survival of the Fittest, Liliana of the Veil, etc.) that will make them become very relevant.
Your deck, I Call Her Vera: Sidisi EDH has so many combos that you don't have enough ways to assemble them or protect them. It is also not a tournament level combo deck, mine is.

Way to give nonconstructive criticism. Might want to be nicer next time.

Solid deck, I don't think you need to change anything. Just keep a look out for new cards, because they have been printing really good ones lately.
March 14, 2015 6:50 p.m.
Femme_Fatale I just feel as if he missed the entire point of this deck and completely ignored the primer I have, where he would have seen the same thing I said. It was a little harsh, and I do recognize that, but people like him that try to correct a deck that they don't even understand annoy me. Especially his comment about "graveyard based decks," this deck isn't a reanimation engine, it is a combo that has a few uses for cards in graveyards.

I can certainly see that, as I too get irritated with suggestions that have nothing to do with the deck idea. Just best to learn to keep a cool head in all situations. In the mean time, I've been playtesting your build and it seems to win on an average of turn 6. Turn 3 wins are definitely possible. Mind if you take a look at my own competitive edh build? Here it is:
The Unfair Girl, The Daughter of Kaalia Playtest
Commander / EDH*
SCORE: 5 | 4 COMMENTS | 87 VIEWSI've just recently finished the description for it and am open to suggestions.
For your own build, I suggest removing Mox Diamond because of that late game draw. I would suggest Expedition Map, Bloom Tender or Grim Monolith in its place. If you take the map suggestion, then I also suggest Hall of the Bandit Lord. Other tutors you might find of interest are Tainted Pact, Grim Tutor and Insidious Dreams. Finally, to remove some of your nonbasics. I had quite some difficulties with coloured mana when playtesting.
March 14, 2015 7:23 p.m.
Femme_Fatale I really like Mox Diamond in that I can play it turn 1 or 2 and it nets me 1 mana. I believe that is enough reason to keep it in hand, especially with ferocious mulligans.
I really like Tainted Pact, haven't seen that card in so long. With no basics, I can draw my whole deck, which I absolutely love. Will go find something to replace ASAP.
The other tutors I'm not as optimistic about, but I'll test them, and thanks for the suggestions.
March 14, 2015 7:30 p.m.
Wow I really can't read, Tainted Pact is far less powerful than I first thought, but I'll still try it nonetheless.

It's a one trick pony :D
But considering combo decks in general are a one trick pony, why not include more one trick ponies to make a super one trick pony? It's like, Yu-Gi-Oh style fusion!

After going through your deck list and looking at it.. Wow. I'm not sure what to say, but as per the Advertise Your Deck forum dictates I have to try to say something for you so: since you've already got Pact of Negation in there you could add another WinCon with Hive Mind?

How about ... Demonic Consultation?
What are your thoughts on using tutors that put them ontop of your deck like Cruel Tutor?
March 16, 2015 5:27 a.m.
I appreciate the idea Izzetdimir, but Hive Mind kind of goes against this deck's already in place combos.
Femme_Fatale I love using Demonic Consultation in some of my proxied vintage decks and block constructed (especially with Necropotence), but the inherent risk in a singleton format is too much. And Cruel Tutor is too inefficient compared to the others I already have, but I am grateful for your ideas.

What about Back to Nature instead of Nature's Claim? One more mana, and the downside is obviously getting rid of any you have, but can wipe all opponents advantages away.
March 17, 2015 8:17 a.m.
Teddyk that 1 mana is huge, and I also want to be able to take out artifacts.

Indeed. Have you ever turn 1'd someone's Land Tax? It makes them cry. Especially when it was their only form of ramp and they had no other lands.
