So... I might be out of touch with commander just a wee bit, but even with all your ramp isn't 28 lands excessively low?

He has 37 lands CanadianShinobi. He just hasn't listed his fetches with his other lands like he should be. It is an automatic give in that any competitive tri colour deck will be running 9 fetches.

Well now I feel stupid... for not noticing the section labeled Fetch.

You aren't the only one. At least 3 others have missed it.
March 17, 2015 10:19 p.m.
you should run some cards like Spirit Away and Soul Ransom, cards that take control of other players creatures, like your commander. Also run some probes to put cards in your opponents graveyard that you want to have. also Lazav, Dimir Mastermind would work great with your commander
March 18, 2015 3:04 p.m.
_AZF126 I'm not really sure what you're talking about. None of those cards are part of the combo I've developed, and have zero synergy with how this deck's. And they are ridiculously too high in mana cost for me to consider.
March 18, 2015 3:29 p.m.
sorry, its just what i would do. Try running mill to put out creatures that your opponent has that might be useful with your commander to copy

But that isn't an infinite combo. This deck aims to win turns 3-6. Anything that doesn't contribute to this is pointless.

Have you considered playing Body Double?
Mirror-Mad Phantasm might be worth playing, since it mills a huge portion of your library, and any copies you make of it (either tokens or with Clone effects) will mill your entire deck in one shot.
Dread Return is a reanimation spell with flashback, which could be useful.
March 27, 2015 11:23 a.m.
ibstudent2200 None of those cards work well with this deck. This is a fast combo deck, so Mirror-Mad Phantasm is too inefficient to work, as well as not being very consistent. Body Double has zero use here, and I don't have any form of Clone effects. Dread Return is a different kind of combo, and one that I don't want to change to.

"I don't have any form of Clone effects"...except The Mimeoplasm.
Body Double is a card I mostly suggested as a backup Necrotic Ooze in case somebody likes playing cards with Split Second (Sudden Death, Molten Disaster, Sudden Spoiling, Trickbind, and Word of Seizing all see play in my playgroup).
In retrospect, Dread Return is more useful when going for the win with Laboratory Maniac.
March 28, 2015 2:35 p.m.
ibstudent2200 when I cast The Mimeoplasm I want to be able to win that turn using one of the combos listed, and I only use cards in my own graveyard that I intentionally put there. Also, in competitive EDH, those cards aren't used as much because there are other, more cost-effective cards people run. It is not something I worry about, especially with the Necrotic Ooze combo, as I never have to pass priority. The Laboratory Maniac combo goes against the already distinguished combos in this deck, and would only slow it down.

You don't have to pass priority to use the Necrotic Ooze combo? How do you get enough +1/+1 counters on Necrotic Ooze (or The Mimeoplasm, if you don't have Lord of Extinction in graveyard)?
March 28, 2015 4:49 p.m.
Have you ever thought of adding Tooth and Nail. It can fetch Triskelion and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed for an insta-win.
March 29, 2015 2:02 p.m.
klone13 first off, I don't have Mikaeus, the Unhallowed in here, so that won't work, and by the time this deck is able to generate 9 mana, I want to be able to activate Hermit Druid and/or cast The Mimeoplasm and win, so it isn't efficient enough.
March 29, 2015 2:04 p.m.
Mim is banned in our local meta, so I haven't played against him in a while. I agree with the Mikaeus comment above. You seem to have mana drain listed twice.
Dig the swag tho, +1
March 29, 2015 3:08 p.m.
thehat Mana Drain is listed twice because it ramps, and it counters. I only have 1 in the deck, but I can assign it multiple custom categories.

27-1 ... I haven't played that many games. I don't think I can ever get that high of efficiency. I'm only 6-1 ;-;

Femme_Fatale I have been using XMage recently, and have found it to be much more effective, and this is generally the only deck I use. It is at 35-7 now, a lot more people use competitive combo decks on there, so it is probably a lot better for me to get that feel. I do own this deck in real life, but don't get out much to play it for real. My closest LGS is about 2 and a half hours away, I do it sometimes when I have the time, but I have a really busy schedule, so I play on there when I have the time during the weeknights.

Muddle the Mixture as another counter or better a way to tutor Hermit Druid?
April 8, 2015 5:47 p.m.
Izzetdimir any idea what I should swap it for, I've considered it before, but haven't figured out what to add?

I kinda want to say Venser, Shaper Savant. It's practically a very worse Remand. It's either that or Fact or Fiction/Brainstorm/Oracle of Mul Daya. I'm also wondering why you would want to use Burgeoning, Exploration and Carpet of Flowers when they are so specific? Wouldn't it be better to use things that can guarantee you mana rather than have the potential to be completely useless?

For your question, I personally like Fact or Fiction and Intuition more, mainly since they have no risks involved. Tainted Pact can exile important cards, and Insidious Dreams fails if you have to shuffle your deck or lack the cards in hand. Fact or Fiction and Intuition both find you the cards you need and also can get them in the grave without issue.
