I too play a selesneya deck and found a great infi-combo using Life and Limb + Sporemound but in EDH the chances of getting both is slim but if you want to, try it.

Wow BoomCreeper! I play this deck for more than a year and still haven't noticed this combo. I'll test it.
However i think that Life and Limb is too risk to be played in the format, even coupled with Sporemound on the battlefield. The creatures can't attack till the next turn. And a Wrath of God would break me hard, by taking my forests away.
There is a similar infinite combo with Earthcraft + Squirrel Nest . I don't play this combo because if don't get to draw earthcraft, then Squirrel Nest is pretty much useless. On the other hand, Earthcraft is still an amazing card by it's own. Thats why i keep it on the deck.

I'm not fine with the Knight of the Reliquary . Sacrifice a land to another . Where's the benefit ? I would prefer a Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip, is not it?
April 15, 2016 5:51 a.m.
Azrael_Kai if you pay attention, some lands are amazing resources for their utility like Gaea's Cradle, Homeward Path, Yavimaya Hollow, Wirewood Lodge, Mirrorpool and Gavony Township. So, a tutor for those useful land is always welcome.
Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip would be a weak card on this deck. Her token is legendary, I couldn't copy it. I need to have 7 lands to Planeswalk her off, and this deck needs to be faster than this. Her ult is going to be never used just like Garruk, Primal Hunter ult. Unfortunately, All Nissa's Planeswalker cards are bad IMO to fit a token deck. Even Nissa, Voice of Zendikar is not reliable with her chump blockers.
Btw, Knight of the Reliquary helps to filter the deck as it can reduce the number of lands on the Library and make all the "COOL STUFF" easier to be draw.
I can't see the benefit of Nissa at all. But Knight of the Reliquary works fine everytime.

Excellent explanation you've convinced me! I have a Rhys similar to yours , but instead of Karn Liberated, Gaea's Cradle and Natural Order what you put it?
April 15, 2016 7:53 a.m.
Well. Actualy, Gaea's Cradle is Unique. You won't find anything that could compare to it.
As for Karn Liberated I would probably choose something like Quarantine Field or Grasp of Fate. They are cheaper and can deal with some nasty cards that are disrupting the deck strategy.
Natural Order can be replaced for Defense of the Heart and set some combos like Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite + Kamahl, Fist of Krosa or Archangel of Thune + Essence Warden . Still, it would depend a lot on your opponent battlefield situation. As it is terrible against creatureless decks.

Thanks for the advices. I would also be included Humility, but I do not know whether to put it. What do you think? You've tried it?
April 16, 2016 9:58 a.m.
A long time ago, on a different build of this Rhys the Redeemed deck, I used to play Humility. It's a great card to control the table. It's very good against ETB creatures as they do not trigger their skills. And the combo Humility + Living Plane just wins you the game if you have creatures to generate mana for you and follow the path of Armageddon. Anyway, Humility alone by itself.
I still put it on my Maybeboard. Cuz I found it an amazing card. Unfortunately, it never survives the cut... Oh if only this format had official Sideboard or if 110 cards were allowed (sigh). I would put some great cards here.
Just to mention some of them:
- Humility
- Entreat the Angels
- Intangible Virtue
- Valor this would depend on the number of plains on the deck
- Glory
- Living Plane
- Mycoloth
- Grove of the Guardian with 10 more cards we would need 1-2 more lands
- Hour of Reckoning
- Lightning Greaves just to make pair with Thousand-Year Elixir
I had a section on this page with all the updated and token generators list, all the possible token buffers or cards that have synergy with them. After Tappedout changed their layout my list got messy, so I removed it. I'll try to post it again next week.

Humility is very beautiful card .. and I own too! But I have noticed that in some game debilitates me too , so for now I removed . I am now using Mycoloth but in replacement waiting because I am not convinced that much. I would like a Voice of Resurgence or a Master of the Wild Hunt, but have no way to find them.
Tonight I have a multiplayer tournament, let's see how it goes.
April 19, 2016 3:25 a.m.
Yep Azrael_Kai, sometimes Humility DO backfire. Thats why if you're interested in playing it you need to have non-creatures token generators like Elspeth, Sun's Champion or Awakening Zone.
If you're following the path of Master of the Wild Hunt I suggest Wren's Run Packmaster, Sword of Body and Mind and Wolfbriar Elemental to increase overall pressure and sinergy between cards.
I once played with Master of the Wild Hunt but he was a lightning rod for removals and extremely Slow as it generates only a single per turn. If someone manage to control him, he pretty much kills every creatures of the deck, starting with Rhys the Redeemed.

I inserted Wren's Run Packmaster, it seems a good choice, plus it's an elf . I was also thinking about Twilight Drover, what do you think ?
Last night I had a tournament and I noticed that the Cyclonic Rift is the worst thing you can encounter against this deck . There are no answers about ? Anyway I did the third , good result! I have another question about : at what point cast Rhys? In the first round or wait for a better time?
Anyway thanks for the tips ! +1
April 20, 2016 8:41 a.m.
Twilight Drover another lighting rod. Btw, It's difficult to play a card that gives the opponent the chance to manage when my own creature will trigger.
As for Cyclonic Rift... that card completely breaks token decks. There is only one thing and one thing only that you are able to do against the Rift. Make sure you are forcing the player to use it defensively. After I realized that, never again I lost the game after eating a Cyclonic Rift on my face. Control players need to run out of spells before they manage to have card advantage and a large mana pool.
Seriously, if you are not pushing hard, making sufficient pressure, then the player is going to use it to finish you. To make clear, sufocate the blue player and make he use this card as soon as possible, preferably on early to mid game because late game is gg. That's the best strategy against Cyclonic Rift. I hope that someday wizard releases a card that states "permanents can't be returned to your hand". It's going to be a staple on this deck.

Out of curiosity: what are the songs you use on this page? I'm particularly interested in the previous one, for I revisited this deck numerous time to listen to that song. :) (That, and the fact, that I use your deck as the main base for what I'm building.)
May 15, 2016 11:36 a.m.
Hi Arc_Talan the current song is from the game Ori and the Blind Forest it is called Light of Nibel.
The Last song that I used was from Thomas Bergersen / Two Steps from Hell, and is called Starfall.
Both themes are Epic and I can't decide what is the one that fits better here.
You can Find Both on Spotify.
