The planeswalker base is the heart of this deck and good as it is. I would think about the new Gideon when gatecrash comes out since he can clean a board (a possibility that would need testing).

The instants are ok too. Devastation Tide might be a good idea too.

The sorceries are good too but I'm missing card:Nature's Lore as a second card to fetch you a dual and Final Judgment to remove everything permanently.

The enchantments are good too. Think about Moat and/or Magus of the Moat for further protection and Propaganda -like cards. Planar Despair could be good too.

That's it for now. Further ideas might come up later.

To the best of my understanding, Vault of the Archangel will in fact affect Progenitus because protection only applies to targeted spells and abilities. Global effects still affect my general. Though I am heavily leaning towards replacing it with Reflecting Pool or Exotic Orchard . I agree it is a weak pick.

Academy Ruins is probably staying. I have 11/99 Artifacts with sad bot and metamorph included atm. But more importantly I NEED Crucible of Worlds and Chromatic Lantern to function properly (lantern also helps with my colorless land production)

You're right, I will probably cut evolving and terramorphic.

Reliquary Tower I agree is weak. It's just a safety net atm but I could probably live without it.

Strip Mine has far too much utility to be cut in my opinion.

Good call on Mystifying Maze

All Collective Restraint and Propaganda like cards are off the table unfortunately. I would love to be able to use them. But unfortunately they all say attack YOU which does absolutely nothing to defend the walkers, which is the entire point.

Niv disk, False Prophet and Final Judgment I'm all looking at seriously.

I would put in Skyshroud Claim over lore its just too good.

Thanks for checking things out! off to see your deck.

Another idea I just god is adding Child of Alara in here as another board cleaner that can hit heavily too.

You're right with Vault of the Archangel but once Progenitus is out you won't really need it. Not really for lifelink and especially not for deathtouch.

I would suggest to play both. Skyshroud Claim and card:Nature's Lore. You've got enough forest duals for that.

I actually thought about Child of Alara as my general. just unsure because it will affect my walkers too. I think that's going to come down to playtesting.

You should stay with Progenitus and put Child of Alara in only as a board clear option if it gets hard and you have to threaten your oppoenents.

You could try Sphere of Safety . You'd need to get some enchantments out there, but it could help to protect those walkers.

card:Norn's Annex or Ghostly Prison >Sphere, because they dont require the interaction of another permanent type.

The only problem with Ghostly Prison is that it says nothing about Planeswalkers, which is what we are trying to protect. card:Norn's Annex definitely works, although it only costs one mana all the time, Sphere of Safety will charge at least one (as it is an enchantment giving you at least one), with the possibility of getting better as more enchantments hit.

I would include Ghostly Prison in addition to Sphere of Safety to get more enchantments hindering you opponents at attacking and to make it more interesting to attack other opponents.

I would include Increasing Ambition as a good tutor and Crawlspace as an additional Silent Arbiter .

False Prophet as a "do not attack or I will block" threat may be good too and a Moat if you can get one. Magus of the Moat idoes the same only as a creature. If you can get both include both.

Planar Collapse is a good threatening enchantment too and Portcullis can keep the board as it is.

Since you have some protection enchantments in here that are quite good think about Idyllic Tutor and Academy Rector .

Supreme Verdict should be in here to go against control decks.

Magus of the Disk and card:Nevinyrral's Disk are quite good at cleaning the field too.

You should really add Collective Restraint since you play all color!!!!

And just to add it as a possibility: Think about the Darkest Hour + Light of Day combo.

I hope this helps you to protect you superfriends.

I don't know what else I can say. You clearly have a lot more experience at this then I do. I guess I would suggest Prismatic Omen ? But I don't even know if you need that. Looks good. I wouldn't want to face it.

Summer Bloom could be VERY strong with the right mulligan/first draw/Partial Parish :D

Possible Spawning Pool instead of the swamp? And then that artefact that allows you to have permanents eneter untapped, Amulet of Vigor I'm looking for one at the moment for my eleMENTAL deck that you commented on.

Again, sorry for the late reply, TappedOut didn't notify me :S.

Moat and The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale are solid inclusions in a superfriends deck.

Also, Angus Mackenzie is a good guy to protect walkers, especially with a Seedborn Muse .

Also, Gilder Bairn should find his way in here, since he doubles loyalty counters.

Moat and The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale are def in my acquire list :)

Gilder Bairn I took out because I couldn't efficiently find ways to tap him. Since I try and lock down combat.

Thanks for the +1!

I have almost exactly the same deck! Fun stuff... http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/super-friends-unite-1/

I'd probably include card:Mirari's Wake and Mana Reflection , and on top of that Academy Rector . Nothing is more juicy than wrathing the field and getting a free Doubling Season out if it

I'd probably add in Sorin, Lord of Innistrad . Not only does he make tokens great for chump blocking, his -2 makes Progenitus kill in 2 hits instead of 3.

Also Fist of Suns is brutal in a Progenitus deck, as it only makes him cost 5. Definitely unpleasant

The deck looks really solid, the only things I'd consider cutting are Bribery and Beacon of Unrest . They're both incredible cards but I think you'd rather have more wraths or something that fits with the theme of the deck a little more

Andrius says... #24

zorsmobile you're very right on Academy Rector i'm also looking seriously at Idyllic Tutor

I have the other sorin because 10 life means progenitus kills in one hit ;)

I suggest considering Rafiq of the Many and Finest Hour. I know finishing game with Progenitus is secondary objective but with these two cards you can finish it in one turn instead of waiting two (by some way putting counters on Progenitus) or three (requires three hits from him after all) and since you have enough tutor it may work better than just focusing on walkers.
