Mostly because I had a copy of Mind Spring .
I really should get a Braingeyser though.

Ah, I know how it is.
A Braingeyser from Revised will only run you about ~2 bucks, so it's not too horrible. In most situations, Mind Spring will do the same thing, though.

Meddling Mage and Nevermore are excellent ways of saying no.

A couple cards to consider are Hinder and Aboshan, Cephalid Emperor .

Geist of Saint Traft maybe? He's a great creature even if he likes to say "swing" rather than "no".

I like the Geist of Saint Traft . I've been trying to put more "killing force" in this deck, and that seems to work well. I feel like I could use a Luminarch Ascension too.

Thanks, and I completely agree with the Luminarch Ascension , that'd be a fun way to dominate the board while encouraging a controlling playstyle. Plus it's way better in EDH.

card:Orim's Chant buys you 1 turn counter for Luminarch Ascension

I REALLY wish I had an card:Orim's Chant, Raven.
But unfortunately I do not. I'd slap that on an Isochron Scepter faster than you can say card:Now I Know My ABC's!

Try Wrath of God or Catastrophe for Day of Judgement?!?!?!!, Treachery for Control Magic , Meishin, the Mind Cage is unneccesary, and Hanna, Ship's Navigator seems really out of place.
I like the inclusion of Leonin Arbiter over Aven Mindcensor , as well as the CounterTop and Parfait synergies.
No appearance from Thalia, Guardian of Thraben , Consecrated Sphinx , Solitary Confinement , Mana Vortex or Pendrell Mists . Consider some of them.
Like the deck, +1'd.

Sorry for the double post, but take out the 7cmc Control Magic variant for Treachery instead of Control Magic itself.

I would love to pick up those cards, as well as a Mystic Remora .

Well then, it seems I have no choice but to +1. I comply!
Love the deck, been wanting to make a grand arbiter deck for a while, and this surely helps get an idea of what to use. Thanks!

For funzies, you can try incorporating some stax into the build, incorporating things like Mana Vortex for land hate (possibly combined with fetches + Crucible of Worlds ), and Karmic Justice for rebuke of permanent destruction.
With all the mana tax, why not invest in little Winter Orb , it's big bro Static Orb , and its cousin Trinisphere ?
Not enuf wraths. White has some of the lowest hanging branches, blue has some good ones too, pick the best. Cataclysm , Armageddon , Devastation Tide , Terminus , Hallowed Burial , Supreme Verdict , and Akroma's Vengeance are a few which deal with many problems that may occur that taxing won't help solve. (combo player taking infinite turns, et cetera.)
What I would like to try in a game is Cataclysm , keeping Land Equilibrium , Sun Titan , Rishadan Port and possibly Crucible of Worlds . Your opponents? Quite aggravated. XD

You should grab a Mirror Gallery , then stick Followed Footsteps on Grand Arbiter Augustin IV for ultimate taxation!
July 28, 2014 5:10 p.m.
Actually, I was going to rebuild this as an Oloro Stax Tax deck.

Seems great! I normally don't like any type of control, but this is just so effective, I can't help it.
One thing though. Mind Spring ? Really? Why not Braingeyser , or Stroke of Genius ? The latter especially is great in control. (I see you've got card:Blue Sun's Zenith in there already.)
