Codex Shredder stops tutors to top of deck entirely and is seldom noticed until the damage has been done,

The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale if one can acquire it for sup-ah taxes?(Most likely using the entirety of one tax returns to get it)

If I could afford one, I'd definitely buy one. Hell, I'd buy like five.

If you are unable to afford a Tabernacle, you might consider running Pendrell Mists instead. Vile Consumption is another similar effect, but it taxes life instead.

I have a copy of Pendrell Mists, but I find it too slow for my tastes. The beauty of the tabernacle is that it only costs your land drop for a turn.

I totally get that. It's simply an option that I wasn't sure you were aware of.

Had a look at your deck and find it very much to my liking of the style of play where u make your opponents suffer.

im building a lock down deck with Zur, the enchanter if you could give me some advice would be great.

Looks interesting in general...What is your experience with cards that tax specific card types or plays?

I had more cards like that in my Augustin's $t4ks (4000$ Solution/Stax) too, but after some tests came to the conclusion that cards, which tax a broader type of spells (noncreature, nonartifact, or even ALL spells) work much better. Also, if you have lots of cards that disable or remove creatures, taxing is more important for noncreatures and you want the tax cards cheap and fast. Thorn of Amethyst, Sphere of Resistance and Thalia, Guardian of Thraben all cost only 2 mana, which means you can drop them on turn one, if you have some acceleration available.

Extra acceleration would also be great in your deck, because you don't play mana mana artifacts. Signets and Talismans in your colours would be nice, if you can afford Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond and Mox Opal that would be even better. Coalition Relic is also cool because you can either tap it immediately or save one additional mana for next turn and it's coloured!

Crucible of Worlds pairs wonderfully with Mana Vortex. That being out of the way, if any would be willing to provide suggestions for a deck of my creation, Please Hold i would be much obliged. the deck itself refused to link sadly.

Hey I have a question about a potential maybeboard or sideboard card that can help fuel Sphere of Safety. If you had Arbiter of the Ideal then it would not only increase your enchantments that fuel your protection tax but can allow for free casting of cards. I know it is a bit high for its cost but with how much ramp you have in this deck in the early game it would seem like it wouldn't affect game play too much and it would allow for you to continue to play cards after you destroyed all of the land base in the current game with Mana Vortex. It is just a thought.

It’s nice to see a great deck like this. Since this is Tax I suggest War Tax , Smoke Stax does some work. Overall I can see this deck winning lots of game. It is tight and synergizes the way u want it to. Here is a UPVOTE!!
