I like how the top two decks right now are 2 of the 3 new Bolos Gods! I built the third one The Scarab God. It would be sweet to fit in that #3 spot at the top! My list can be found here: Egyptian God of the Rising Sun (Butts up!!!).

I plan to make it a Primer once I pass 25 votes!

I only have 7 votes so far, which makes me the #2 The Scarab God list. I am trying to get some of my [[Primer v2.5]] - OM_RATH!!! (EMN Update!!!) followers to vote, but that is a VERY different type of deck, lol.

Ya, I have been fighting for the #3 spot for a while now. I am just 21 votes shy I think. Your Avacyn deck shot up in votes pretty quick! I just Upvoted that list for you. Just 185 more to pass up Om_rath! lol. I know once I get #3 it will just be a battle of keeping it, I don't expect to ever pass the top two decks haha

VexenX: When I said the #3, I meant the "Current Top Decks" measure, not the #3 of all time haha.

That being said, you're damn close to that as well ;) if/when I break #5 of all time I'll be content. But for now my pet project is to push all of my currently-played decks to +100 or above haha.

Ya, I have not idea how that Current Top Deck thing works. My The Scarab God deck has more votes then a ton of them on there, but I am nowhere to see seen. Does that list refresh once a day or something?

I want to build this deck too... I think I am going to slowly piece together the other to Bolas Gods and just run all three... It is happening... lol

Rigol: There really does need to be a Jace, the Mind Sculptor here. I just don't have the cash for it right now...Tandem Lookout is a fantastic idea and I definitely need a slot for it. And yes, he does go back to command zone.

iwr09a: No, I agree. This deck isn't meant to be one of my tuned decks, really - it's meant to be kinda silly and janky combo. I do need to stick some disruption in, but I just don't enjoy playing control... Plus, I plan to use this deck in the lower-power circles of my meta (also - it's only 4 days old, I haven't gotten to try it more than once).

(And with regards to your specific card comments, Ivory Tower probably should go, but Propaganda's pretty important since I can't get my Locust swarms until later in the game.)

I'm running Teferi's Puzzle Box, Jace's Archivist, Magus of the Wheel, Commit / Memory, Tolarian Winds, Molten Psyche, Reforge the Soul, Time Reversal, Winds of Change

As wheel effects. Some with the bonus of shuffling my bin back into my library.

By the way Bident of Thassa + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind's tap ability doesn't work. =( (Bident says about COMBAT damage)

Also Phyrexian Altar is very good here (together with Ashnod's Altar).

Maybe Impact Tremors as second Purphoros?

To add onto the comment about Niv Mizzet. Curiosity does work and goes infinite.

Rigol: I know that Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind doesn't work with Bident of Thassa (though I wish he did) - but it does work to double your Locust hordes ;)

Dubel: I haven't included Curiosity because it's too narrow of a card outside of the combo, but Tandem Lookout combos with him too, and Synthetic Destiny will fetch both halves ;)

Just food for thought, but would Past in Flames be worth running?

Some super secret tech such as Mudslide seems good in this deck :) Love izzet draw in EDH and was excited to see what you came up with. +1

I would add Distant Melody essentially draw 1 for each locust, if you have a large hand already, and cast it with a Arjun, or Mindmoil on the field,you basically triple the locust count with one spell!

Breath of Fury goes infinite easily with any number of Coastal Piracy related effects and is a great backup wincon. It usually win the game on the spot, looping Kozilek to stop itself from drawing you to death.

Forgot about this with my last comment, but another self wheeling effect that's repeatable is Forgotten Creation. Worth considering especially as it's a may trigger.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but you might want to consider adding Goblin Bombardment to the deck as an additional Comet Storm. It goes infinite with Murder of Crows or any of the Skullclamp combos.

Combustible Gearhulk seems to be a must include IMO

How do you feel for cheap or free counters like Pact of Negation, Remand, Counterspell or Force of Will to get the commander to hit the board?

jonfehl: Probably not; I don't have enough rituals to actually CAST the things after I pay for Past in Flames...Mizzix's Mastery, on the other hand...

Rzepkanut: I prefer Dack Fayden in the "loot 2 per turn" slot, because his -2 is more relevant I suspect, and he's slightly less mana. However, Daretti, Scrap Savant is a good budget replacement for Jace, the Mind Sculptor (oddly enough). Thanks for the idea! :)

tophertbone12: I'm on the fence for Distant Melody. I was going to play it (was in the maindeck), but I cut it for draw that could be used even without already having Locusts in play. I want to find a slot for it, but what would you cut? (And if you like the deck, feel free to +1!)

Podder: My feelings are that I SHOULD be running them, but I generally hate counterspells so I don't include them. As this deck becomes more tuned they'll probably become necessary (since it IS a relatively dedicated combo deck and reliant on the commander)...

Hmm. I would suggest replacing Tandem Lookout. I would expect people will just block whatever he's soul bonded to in order to deny you card draw. You'll probably get more cards off Forgotten Creation

Also ironic that we both forgot the creature who's name specifically says he's forgotten :)
