The main goal of this deck is to use early-game mana ramp to play Marrow-Gnawer as early as possible, then use tutors to get a Thornbite Staff. With this combo, as long as you control at least two other rats, you can literally put ten trillion 1/1 Rats onto the battlefield!

There's a fair amount of card discarding and creature removal to protect yourself while you set up the combo, and the secondary win condition, if the main one doesn't pan out, is to just pile Relentless Rats onto your opponent. Thrumming Stone is extremely useful here.

Since Marrow-Gnawer's ability reuires you to sacrifice a creature, I've added Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos and Butcher of Malakir, so your opponents lose creatures, too.

Braids is largely in there for fun; it's possible to play her on the first or second turn, and hitting your opponent for two damage a turn while they have not enough land to deal with her is always funny.
