I like Aluren in Mayael decks because it allows you to recast her for just her commander tax every time she dies, and at instant speed to give her effective haste and avoid boardwipes. Also, Illusionist's Bracers seems like an auto-include for a deck with such a key activated ability on a general. I would put the Bracers in over quicksilver amulet. There are ways to build this deck that aren't unfun and degenerate like you've built it; it seems like it would basically be the worst hour of your opponents' lives to play against this thing and they would be morally right to kill you as fast as possible without touching anyone else given the cards you're playing. I would advise rebuilding a non-cancer version of this deck.

@forevergreen, I will have to disagree on Aluren. Sure, we can use it for our general, but other than that almost all the creatures in the deck have very high costs. With only three other targets in the deck, I think the card will help my opponents more than it helps me. As for Illusionist's Bracers over Quicksilver Amulet, if I have a Blightsteel, Ulamog, etc in my hand, I don't want it to be a dead card. Moreover, I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket with my general. All it takes is one Pithing Needle and she's done. The deck should synergize with the general, but not be utterly gimped if she's KIA. The amulet provides more options (though I may swap the bracers in for something else).

Lastly, I'm not sure exactly how you mean it should be less degenerate. This deck is the least mean in my playgroup, and probably in most playgroups. Yes, it has a high power level (equal to the rest of my playgroup), but that doesn't equate to "mean" or "unfun". When I think mean, I think high concentrations of cards like Static Orb, Infernal Darkness, Armageddon, turn 3 wins, and lots of countermagic/removal. This deck contains one or two mean cards, but overall is not a mean deck. It simply, in the spirit of green, tries to play something that's bigger and better than yours. It's not esper control. It's not tutor for combo pieces. It's not stax. It's just play dudes until you reach critical mass. At sorcery speed.

Playing Iona is degenerate as far as I'm concerned because it says you don't care about other people enjoying the game, you just want to win at all costs and make them not able to play. Also, play scroll rack to get your fatties back on top of your deck to use with your general and play Vandalblast or other removal to deal with the rare pitting needle situation. I see that card come out in maybe 1/20 games although it's possible it's more prevalent in your meta because of decks like yours.
