There are ways you can make a budget b/w token deck through things like Despise, Duress and Tidehollow Sculler. Make your changes and I'll suggest what you can do to improve it.

alright, sounds good. I am not at a place I can make all the changes to the deck and try anything out, and I an unsure of some of what I have, so it may take a little bit before I can make any adjustments. I will be sure to update it ASAP.

Xxzane, I have the build up if you wanted to look at it.

Take out Brave the Elements and 1-2 anthems. I would have 4 IoK and 2 duress. Take out Sorin as well. Add 4 Raise the Alarm and 1 land. Let me see what it looks like from there.

would you say a 4th windbrisk, or a vault of the archangel? I am thinking the vault.

It's looking a lot better. Can you afford Godless Shrines? And what is your meta? Sideboard needs a lot of work.

I know the sideboard needs a lot, and I cannot afford the shrines, or marsh flats, or thoughtseize unfortunately. the meta is mostly just folks I play the game with, but they play pretty competitively. I end up going up against discard a lot actually.

hmm. Can you give me a list of deck that they play? Leyline of Sanctity would be nice against the hand disruption, but it's far too expensive for your budget.

I know that I have seen gifts played, affinity, the discard deck I mentioned. I play against another token deck. burn. kinda everything other than twin and pod.

I wanna say thank you also, you have helped me a ton and I appreciate that.

No problem glad to help. And hmm. Stony Silence or Sundering Growth for pod, the mirror matchup is kind of interesting. our own Zealous Persecution should act as a good counter to it. For burn, budget options can be Kor Firewalker or Burrenton Forge-Tender. Gifts...Hmm. To counter Unburial Rites, maybe Rest in Peace?

xenith4127 says... #14

I will have to go with sundering growth, the forge-tender is gonna have to be the one I choose there, and I think that Rest in peace is an excellent choice. I have some relics, maybe those? but that can be situational.

Sounds good! Now for your sideboard, keep Duress and maybe Despise, take out everything else and put those cards in.

I shall do so. After I get the chance to test and see how it does I will update things. again, thanks!

I also run a Black/White tokens deck, and I have a suggestion. Looking at Brimaz, King of Oreskos, He is useful for pumping out a token with vigilance, but since you are running 4 copies of Intangible Virtue, having vigilance isn't really an issue. Might I suggest Hero of Bladehold instead? Her Battle cry ability is great for getting in an extra wave of damage in, and the 2 Soldier tokens she produces when attacking also receive the Battle cry bonus, making them at the very least 2/1 for the turn. If you want a look at a slightly different take on Orzhov tokens, check out the Spirit Bomb deck on my page.

Thank you for the suggestion, and I will give it a test as soon as I can. I do not have any heroes at the moment, so I will need to find some around my area. once I get to test them, I will post what my results were. I will definitely give the deck a look by the way. again, thank you!

I would advise against Brimaz. Hero can be good, but note that people will probably save their paths and the like to deal with it, so you could potentially waste your 4th turn.

I put 2x Secure the Wastes in my BW Token deck. Just a good BLAM! mid-late game card to go over the top.

xenith4127 says... #22

I had never even thought of that card honestly. I will try that out. Thank you for the suggestion!

April 25, 2015 5:06 p.m.

xzzane says... #23

If you want to use it, I suggest only 1 copy. It's not as good as other cards turns 1-4, but it can be a late game bomb.

I was thinking of using 1, rather than 2 as well. For the reason you had said xzZane. I do have the ability to get one, but it won't be for a bit, so I will not be able to test it very quickly, because of work. I have an absolutely packed couple of weeks coming up, but I will be able to get that card into the deck for a test.

I think Elspeth, Sun's Champion would be better than Knight errant for tokens.
