Assembly-Worker tribal + toys and tokens.
Still a work in progress, but I wanted this to feel like a factory.
This deck really cranks out TONS of mana, and thinks nothing of hard casting Spine of Ish Sah and Duplicant to remove threats, but what it is really about is producing Assembly-Workers. (Someone has to work in this factory right?).
It also happens to contain the combo of Prototype Portal + Chaos Orb + Mishra's Toy Workshop. So what toy do you want to throw at your opponent's field? I did buy a 6" x 9" chaos orb just in case... but I'm thinking I really need a nice plush duck of doom.
But back to the original plan, this is a theme deck based on the idea of the factories existing and those factories being run by robots.
Assembly-Worker is your blue collar guy, running the machines and getting things done. He's nothing exciting, he's just here to make sure things get done.
Chief of the Foundry is replacing Adaptive Automaton as the boss or lord if you will. He's kind of like Assembly-Worker 4-8, but this guy is a leader. He kicks ass and chews bubblegum, and he's all out of gum. Chief of the Foundry is being used here for two reasons. One he's slightly cheaper, and two he pumps up duplicant, which I feel is more important than pumping up mutavault.
Duplicant is a spy, sent by Urza into Mishra's factory in order to steal information. Mishra has tried to rid the place of them, but they keep making copies of themselves. They are the go-to removal package.
Mishra's Factory and Mutavault are assembly-workers 9-14.
Urza's Factory cranks out even more workers when needed, and is a good place to put workshop mana if you don't have a portal out.
Sculpting Steel is the raw material being worked. It is usually the best thing to put on a Prototype portal, and allows you to make tokens of anything. It could be more workers, it could be orbs, it's so versatile! The best thing to copy early game is an animated Mishra's Factory. Later copy your shapeshifters for janky shenanigans. This card is super ramp, super removal, super awesome.
Prototype Portal is a huge part of this deck. Being able to put tokens into play allows for good use of the mana from Mishra's Toy Workshop. Good imprint options include Sculpting Steel, Sol Ring, Duplicant then pretty much anything else.
Mimic Vat is another place to put workshop mana, and yet another way to crank out discount duplicants for extra spot removal.
The factory also has Turbines/Power Generators in the form of (Thran Dynamo), foundries (Krark-Clan Ironworks) and a time clock (Clock of Omens).
To power all of this takes insane amounts of mana, that's where the post lands come in, the Blinkmoth Urn and the other mana rocks.
I still haven't put this together fully (currently missing Duplicants and 1 Toy Factory. I'm also probably going to substitute Thespian's Stage in for Vesuva for a while). I keep updating this list though because I really like it.
I have play tested some early versions using online software, but you can't really test Chaos Orb that way, so that testing has only really helped with the mana/general things that this deck is doing.
