• Introduction:

Malin Keshar was a human mage that got expelled out of school for toiling with dark magic. After saving his home village from an orcish incursion with the help of a necromancer, he became his apprentice and eventually one himself. While his motifs were of a noble cause, being shunned away from society and cast aside, Malin,became a monster. Thus Mal Keshar the Eternal rose, as an all-powerful lich. With legions of undead and worse things to command, his reign of terror began. This is his story.

• The deck:

As a lich, summon the undead to do your bidding. Use every piece at your hand to summon more undead, until the amount you have massed is enough to extinguish all life. Rinse, repeat.

• Why is Varina, Lich Queen the commander of the deck?

Varina offers the most colours in any zombie commander, and for good. Esper not only greatly benefits the otherwise-just-dimir normal zombie color pairings with some really good token support, it also allows for extremely good removal and even some silver bullets like Necromancer's Covenant.

• The deck's strengths:

This is a powerful-go-wide token zombie deck that wants to chew anything we have in order to generate more value, all the time. While its true that on the long run we can't have as much as commanders like The Scarab God, it should be enough to finish the game in a timely fashion. Our ability to mass mill ourselves for value is also extensively exploited with a bunch of reanimator and flashback spells, and even madness cards.

• The deck's weaknesses:

We're a board-based deck, and as such, repeated creature removal is hurtful. Hopefully, the overhelming amount of flesh we can easily put on the board is very replaceable, so we don't have to worry much about their survival, but still, its removal with hurt us nonetheless.
