This deck started as the standard Golgari Exploration shell in MtG:A, but I've done some significant tweaking to add value and increase consistency, at least within the current meta.
What does this deck do to win: Turn Mans Sideways. Sometimes it's a few big mans, sometimes it's lots of littler mans. Sometimes it's very angry lizards. Depends on the game. It's definitely an aggressive deck.
Core: Wildgrowth Walker and his exploration buddies have obvious synergy, along with Path of Discovery and Tendershoot Dryad. I'm unsure if the latter is worth a four-of, but, well. Tomb Robber is another potential line of victory in the late game. Explore as a mechanic really helps this deck because 22 lands is lean; I've considered rounding out with a playset of Foul Orchard, but I'm unsure what I would cut. Explore lets me consistently dig for lands or filter for gas, depending on what I need.
Creatures: Ravenous Chupacabra is just...value. I think it might still be the steadiest card in Standard. Similarly, Carnage Tyrant is a big angry lizard that is hard to deal with; it's hard to argue with a giant armored death lizard. Tomb Robber, Jadelight Ranger, and Seekers' Squire all combo with Wildgrowth Walker, and Tendershoot Dryad is hard to say no to in a deck as full of permanents as this one, not to mention it synergizes with my only enchantment, Path of Discovery. Josu Vess, Lich Knight is a win-button if you can kick him and alright value if you don't, and he's surprisingly easy to kick in this deck. My only planeswalker is Vraska, Golgari Queen because she seems the strongest option available with my deck's strategy, absent the availability of Liliana, Death's Majesty.
Spells: Fungal Infection fulfills a wonderful position as both removal against early aggression (goblins, particularly) and an additional permanent in the form of a Saproling, which synergizes with Dryad as well. Price of Fame and Assassin's Trophy fulfill the "that's too big go away" spot in the deck, while Golden Demise gives me an option against go-wide decks. Find / Finality lets me recur a couple of creatures or get around a problematic Hexproof, and Gruesome Menagerie provides me with some recursion in the late game.
Sideboard: My sideboard is primarily built to allow me to respond to Turbofog or other hard control decks. Gruesome Fate dodges Fog effects with a big board state, Duress replaces Fungal infection and lets me cycle out an early copy of Nexus or Teferi. Sorcerous Spyglass obviously targets Teferi, and Kitesail Freebooter similarly eats a card out of their hand (and gives me a body for GFate). Mausoleum Harpy is a good value card if they're running a problematic flier, for instance one with Hexproof.
Any suggestions are welcome; I like this kind of deck, the feel of it and the mechanics behind it, but I'm no master deckbuilder.
