It's pretty good at attracting the attention of an opponent or getting blown up by something.
I like the card, but in action it rarely gets a chance to kill something it blocked. People either don't attack (possibly good), blow it up (bad), fly over it (bad), etc.
I normally don't even play with defender/wall cards at all except that Wall of Omens
provides me with both a cheap blocker AND a draw AND can be recurred by Sun Titan
.
it's it invaluable in this deck.
@jminute14
with gideon out, it could be slightly better i suppose, but that would only be mid-late game and the membrane is best used early game.

Yeah, I wasn't debating the value of Wall of Omens . Just looking for an opinion, as one who runs white and artifacts, and a good portion of them Scars block ones I figured you'd have thoughts on it.
I used it in a WG Wall deck around Genesis Wave and MetalCraft...most boring deck to play ever...but it allowed me to Wave for 26...a couple times

26!!? @jminute14 good lord. that's nuts.
i just assumed you were throwing out an alternate wall idea, because the WoO was the only other wall in regard to this deck.
I actually liked the Wall of Tanglecord from scars better because it was a bigger body early game and had reach. (which i'm sure was a wall in your deck).

Yeah, I even ran Gargoyle Sentinel ...desperate times called for desperate measures. Ezuri's Brigade was usually enough to clean up the mess after that.

How has Life's Finale played for you? I've been concerned that 6 mana is a lot to pay, and by that time I'm usually dead. I guess combined with Day of Judgement?!?!?!! it's probably not that big a deal...

yeah....originally I was running Black Sun's Zenith as a compliment wipe to Day of Judgment and i was liking it just fine, but i was realizing that i was spending typically 5-7 mana to cast it most times and Life's Finale also removes other late game threats from the deck from coming back.
i can usually control the board presence enough to the point in the game that i would need to cast it. i inserted it as a 2x card because i don't hope to see it that often, but the times that i do get it, i am not dissapointed by it.
this deck likes to win slow, by ruining someone's early and mid game and then reversing the tide to come at them with my big bodies or theirs. :)

VampireArmy I recently rebuilt it to play again, and had fun going through the new sets to look for good additions to the deck. Fiend Hunter has been deliciously fun, and the sideboard has added good flavor too.
I have more fun playing this deck than anything I have played in standard currently.
