@ 3p1cness, I don't plan on running any auras. This deck is pure equipment voltron, to maximize the support for equips.
@ greyninja, those are both cards I would add, what should I take out for them?
@ Goody, I haven't tested Valor enough yet to say whether or not he's good, the idea was that first strike could help Sig out in combat.
Utopia Sprawl is a recent addition, and I don't want to cut it just yet, but the justification is that it's essentially a ramp spell at CMC 1, which sounds like a good idea. I need to test this deck more.

first strike helps against deathtouch. that's why Fireshrieker is solid
Champion's Helm would be better than Mask of Avacyn . i dont really like Trading Post myself. Darksteel Axe isnt great... etc

There will be no auras in this deck. In any case, Shield of the Oversoul does very little for Sig. She already has flying and I would rather she gets indestructible from Darksteel Plate instead.
Mask of Avacyn is there to protect the other creatures in the deck, but I don't like it's equip 3 cost. I might take it out.
I really like Trading Post . It's lots of utility and can snag back lost equipment.

why no swords? Sword of Feast and Famine is great and Sword of Fire and Ice is card draw and pinging. plus doublestrike works great with them!

No swords yet due to budget reasons. If I had the money, I would acquire them all for this deck.
June 26, 2013 12:42 a.m.
Shield of Kaldra and the other kaldra parts? by themselves they are still pretty good.
June 26, 2013 12:53 a.m.
My personal opinion of the kaldra set is that they're expensive to play and to equip, but I like the idea of it. That's something I have to consider, if the power is worth upping the curve.

I play a sigarda equip deck. I should post it sometime. I love pulling off Shield of Kaldra + World Slayer, Invincibility+World Slayer or Darksteel Plate +World Slayer. Its just marvelous to win with world slayer.
I dont think Kaldra set is to expensive to equip/play. Especially with the ability to mana ramp with green. You should get some mana ramp like Burgeoning and Explosive Vegetation .
Enlightened Tutor and Idyllic Tutor if you can get your hands on some.
I would get some rid of your equipment like Inquisitor's Flail , Darksteel Axe , Accorder's Shield and replace them with Swords...(feast famine, war peace....etc)
I am really surprised you don't have Grafted Exoskeleton . Attach this to your commander and you can potentially win with one strike depending on how buffed your commander is.
Since you have weak creatures you should def get Skullclamp for card draw,
I would reduce your enchantments from control to focus more on getting equipment faster or ramping quicker. Something like Steelshaper's Gift or Sculpting Steel .
Anyways, those are my suggestions. The deck is off to a good start.
If you have the time please rate or comment on my current EDH deck. Thanks Rakdos: Multiplayer Commander

If you want some ideas, this is the Sigarda deck I run. The Legend of the Legendary Heron

@ Zifier, Thank you for the suggestions. Yes, I know I run a lot of subpar equipments. I've only recently started taking this deck seriously, and I'm in the process of acquiring the mirrodin swords and the kaldra set.
I've already planned on adding Steelshaper's Gift
and Sculpting Steel
, and I'm going to add Skyshroud Claim
, which I like better than Explosive Vegetation
since the lands etb untaped.
Why do you like Grafted Exoskeleton ? It can win games but if it's destroyed while equipped the equipped creature is still sacrificed. I don't feel like it's worth the risk, unless I have something like Leonin Abunas on the field.
I'm thinking of putting more ramp cards in here to make this deck even faster. But I would like more artifact tutors as well. What are some good ones besides Enlightened Tutor and Stonehewer Giant ?

Well in terms of Grafted Exoskeleton , I use it because it has won me many games. I only ever equip it to Sigarda or another creature if they can hit for 10. Having Privileged Position almost always ensures Grafted Exoskeleton stays on the field long enough for me to end my opponent/opponents. Plus you do have Leonin Abunas in the deck. You have some synergy.
Quest for the Holy Relic has some potential, but useless if you draw it late game.
Steelshaper Apprentice may be a good choice.
Taj-Nar Swordsmith possibly?
Hope that helps.

Interesting points. I think the biggest flaw of the exoskeleton for me is that when equipped, it presents an Achilles' Heel for Sig, when normally it would be really hard to kill her. I see your point about it being a nice finisher, and it gets protection from Privileged Position -style effects, but I'm still hesitant on running cards that are dependent on other cards to run optimally..
I originally had Quest for the Holy Relic
in here, but my low creature count precludes me from reliably getting it active.
I'm also considering Steelshaper Apprentice and Taj-Nar Swordsmith (they're in maybeboard). I'm really on the fence with them. They're cool effects, but mana intensive. My goal is to make Sig a really fast kill. It's not competitive, not yet, but I would like to get her as close as possible!

-1 Civic Wayfinder , +1 Wood Elves for the hard ramp.
Also, since a lot of people run non-basic lands....you should have Trailblazer's Boots . Easier to hit with Sigarda.
It was mentioned before, but I still think Mirari's Wake is a good idea. If you last the next turn, think of all the equipment you can attach to Sigarda.
The potential issue I see with this deck is being over run by multiple creatures since you don't have to many fatties to block with though you do have a lot of equips to buff your low creatures. On the other hand, you want to be equipping Sigarda rather than lowbie creature. I don't know. Do you ever have that issue?

Whispersilk Cloak
? I know Sig already has Hexproof so the Shroud thing would be redundant; but unblockable is cool for use in a voltron.
Also, Vorrac Battlehorns
July 7, 2013 9:13 p.m.
shroud prevents any further equipment from being attached. Whispersilk Cloak is generally a bad choice for this reason, particularly with so few other creatures to equip to.
July 8, 2013 9:37 p.m.
As I write this, it looks like you have 2x Oblation in there. If I missed something in the litany of posts, I apologize, but if that opens up a slot, why not Steelshaper's Gift ?

Hi Krayhaft! Here's kind of a radical suggestion: what about switching over from Sigada to Aurelia, the Warleader ?
It's a heavier mana investment; 1 more CMC, and an additional colored mana as part of that. You also lose access to the awesome ramp and toy-destruction of green and instead have red, arguably one of the weaker EDH colors.
On the other hand, you get two attack phases. Consider that; you're doubling your damage output every turn, with haste and vigilance thrown in. Since this is a tron deck, that is a considerable amount of damage, and potentially lethal the turn she comes out if you have the mana to make it happen.
You'd also get access to Godo, Bandit Warlord , as far as tutoring equipment is concerned.
I run the deck in Aurelia, the Artifact-Laden Hero You Deserve, and it is pretty scary. Just some food for thought.

Oh geez, I should've replied to these comments sooner!
@Zifier, updated the deck with Wood Elves now. I don't think I can devote a space for Trailblazer's Boots . The effect is too small and the deck is already strapped for space. Mirari's Wake is definitely something I want to add, if I can acquire one. What should I take out for it?
@lil_cheez, Morokai, Whispersilk Cloak and Vorrac Battlehorns both have effects that are covered already, or too small (respectively) for them to warrant a slot in this deck. Shroud really hurts in this deck. I have Lightning Greaves in only because of the free equip cost.
@Joshuawesome, thank you! Although the cost of this deck is a bit misleading. I know for sure that this deck costs more than is listed, and I want to soon put more high quality gear in. Any suggestions?
@Ginray72, thanks, fixed!
@tmloyd, that's a very tempting idea, however I can't. Sigarda is one of my favorite creatures, and I really like having her as a general of this deck. Swapping out for red also loses me the mana ramp, something that's very crucial for this deck.
July 27, 2013 11:20 a.m.
Also right now, I have severe problems against swarm and token decks. They overrun me before I have a chance to establish. I need help combating this, and have already added more board wipes. Thoughts?
July 27, 2013 11:22 a.m.
Yes, Novablast Wurm is my favorite thing in these colors.
July 28, 2013 12:07 a.m.
@Ginray72, Novablast Wurm is too unwieldy. Unless I have a Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots on hand, my opponents will know what's going to happen, and will stop me. Surprise is everything. And a 7 mana wrath is pretty expensive, white can do better than that.
July 28, 2013 12:38 p.m.
That's fair, I do always try to make sure I have haste around for it. The mana cost doesn't seem like anything green can't handle, but yes, white board wipes come much cheaper. Divine Reckoning is one of my favorites, especially in voltron decks.
I just love Novablast Wurm . That thing is hilarious to me.
Goody says... #2
Perhaps remove Valor ? Doesn't seem to add much to your game plan, your equips should be able to handle his effect. Utopia Sprawl also seems pretty weak, your ramp should already be good enough with the artifacts and spells.
