Game 1- round 1 Went up against mono red dash. Had no problems keeping up with his creature play and dropped sorin in by turn 4 so I won. Game 1- round 2 Once again no problems keeping up. Although, he did board wipe and managed to drop me down to 2 life. I still won tho. Game 2- round 1 This one was more interesting. I was matched up against another Mardu deck. It wasn't Warriors like mine, but it had a lot of the same cards mine did. We basically went turn for turn until I dropped I the rabblemaster and ascendancy combo. Then sorin. He had sorin out as well so we kinda traded life for a couple turns until I had too man goblins. Game 2- round 2 This one kinda went the same way as the first round except he boarded in more token play and I boarded in some bile blights. So yeah we both had plenty of creatures until I blighted his tokens. I went 2-0 so was no 2-0 in the standings. Game 3- round 1 I was going up against another undefeated player. I've faced him plenty of times. He uses a very aggressive abzan constellation deck. He made a few changes to his deck that ended up winning him the game (being the satyr wayfinder and a constellation enchantment that gives +x+x for the number of creatures in his graveyard). He dropped the whip on turn four then a rhino then that constellation enchantment that gives +x+x for creatures in his graveyard. Got me there. Game 3- round 2 went the same way except I managed to draw into the banishing light after his whip so I took that round. Game 3- round 3 Once again he got his whip on turn 4 then the rhino. I also managed another banishing light but he dropped his +x+x thing in twice and swung for lethal. Game 4- round 1 Ran into an all dragonlords control deck. I beat him in the first round before then 5. Game 4- round 2 My deck mana flooded this time so he managed to get out dramoka and kalogan. I lose :p Game 4- round 3 Unfortunately had to mulligan down to 5 and didn't draw a single mana besides to 2 I had. He once again for dropped in his dragonlords. Argh! I left after that. I made tons of changes once I got home so I'm excited to see how it does during the next standard! I'll be sure to post my results.

The deck seems awesome. In fact, I might copy a few of your cards on my deck.

Only thing I might change is Valorous Stance for Banishing Light, since it can remove anything and also help Battle Brawler.

The sideboard however, could use some work.

Get a Kolaghan's Command in there, as well as some Bile Blight (in case you're going up against soldiers, or other kind of tokens), those are almost always good. You play a lot of removal, and I'm not sure what the use of it might be, for example, 4x Ultimate Price might be a bit too much. 2, maybe...but with all the other removal, I'm not sure you need those in there. Try Duress or Thoughtseize. Thoughtseize has already won me a couple of games by screwing by opponent's mana curve plays and showing me how to play my creatures for max win.

Also, play a minimum of 22 lands. Trust me. You can run a 3 color deck on 21, I tried. That extra land makes a huge difference...

Also, if you found my advice helpful and my deck good, don't forget to upvote it!

Cheers, and good luck.

Well, I haven't run into any token decks at the shop I play at so that's why I don't run the blights. The only reason I don't run thoughtseize is because I don't have any. I plan on picking them up tho trust me. Banishing might over valorous stance tho is iffy for me. I like being able to fool them into blocking my best warrior or killing a fatty. Also, it allows me to save my best creature from moat board wipes. I play too aggressively to run that much control. But, I've seen banishing light change games so I'll look and see if I have any and try it out. The advice is much appreciated my friend!

I used to think the same thing about Banishing Light, but since it can not only remove creatures, but also enchantments, artifacts, etc, I found it to be extremely useful...Think of it as a cheaper, better synergy (w Battle Brawler) Utter End. At worst, it removes a creature, at best it removes something you otherwise would not be able to remove at all (Whip of Erebos, Perilous Vault, etc) and boosts some of your creatures if they are out.

So, after seeing this deck and test playing a couple of hands, I pulled the trigger on some changes I was debating for my deck since I liked how this deck played.

Let me know what you think:

Basically, almost anything with CMC 4 or greater should be a wincon. Your mana curve is still slightly lower than mine, but I think the general feel is pretty much the same. Since there are a lot of control players in my locality I find it useful to have CMC 5 plays (albeit it's only 1 or 2).

Either way, after you play tonight let us know how this DL does!

Cheers!

P.S. Have you considered an Obelisk of Urd or a Spear of Heliod? Both of those can also win games.

Yeah, I'm going to look for some banishing lights when I get off work. As for the obelisk and spear, I used the spear in my b/w Warriors but feel its just not a good fit with the 3rd color. Normally the chief plus sorin is good enough to get passed my opponent. The obelisk is good too. Just haven't been able to get my hands on one. Idk if I'd use it tho. FNM is tonight tho, so I'll be able to let you know how it does against certain decks. I appreciate the advice man. I also like the changes you made to yours. Feels a little more aggro then it was at first.

Btw, any reason you're not playing Butcher of the Horde? With all those goblin tokens the warrior tribal is already broken, and you could seriously benefit from that guy.

2 cents.

I know, I just wanted every creature I play to be a warrior. Although, it wouldn't hurt to have some flying defenses. I have him so I guess once I get home I'll see if I can fit him in anywhere. I guess take out some one drops to put him in. Maybe just do 1 copy so I'm not running into him more than I'd like to.

Alright man, some new changes have been made. I'm running duress in place of thoughtseize (until I can get a couple of course) and the banishing lights rocked it tonight! Thanks man!

Btw, I very shortly added Zurgo Bellstriker to my deck, but quickly decided against it, since you cannot go Zurgo Bellstriker -> Chief of the Edge which is one of the biggest ways of dealing early damage in the deck. You can however go Mardu Woe-Reaper/Bloodsoaked Champion -> Chief of the Edge, so ended up putting the reapers in. Also, most of the red I'm playing comes into play tapped which is not ideal for turn one plays. How is he working out for you?

June 27, 2015 1:12 p.m.

He is a one drop tho, so you can use him in that combo and he has the 2 toughness so he doesn't die to dorks. I like him better for his dash as well. He's not a bad late game draw because of that.

Made a few more changes this morning. The ascendancy worked great producing help for my Warriors and won me 2 matches by itself. I added the spear to make all the token play stronger. Hopefully it works out.
