The Wheels on the Short Bus Go Round and Round

Commander / EDH Combo Competitive Discard Forcefeed Tempo UBR (Grixis)

Cerealkillah

This is a Nekusar deck that focuses on mana ramp and combos to quickly overrun your opponents and keep them in a defensive stance while you wheel them to death. I have tuned and played with this deck and can now win without ever putting Nekusar on the board.

Howling Mine effects have been removed from my first few attempts and building Nekusar. The main reason for this strategy is your opponents will keep Nekusar in the Command Zone and continue to take advantage of your extra draw effects until they win. You will live long enough to give someone else the advantage and then die.

Victory sans Nekusar on the field is achieved in a few ways (usually in coordination with some wheels):

Non-Nekusar Draw Pain:
Underworld Dreams
Fate Unraveler

Discard Pain:
Megrim
Liliana's Caress

Getting any of the above enchantments on the board with a wheel will result is loss of life.

A few more cards that make the draw and discard pain even more painful:

Sire Of Insanity
Teferi's Puzzle Box
Waste Not
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind

Sire of Insanity and Teferi's Puzzle box have the added bonus of keeping your opponents hands from building up to a combo. This build does not rely on having any specific 2 or 3 cards in your hand to win. Don't fear this, embrace it!

Waste Not and Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind needs no explanation.

One of the star players in this build is Tezzeret the Seeker . Tezz can be used to fetch (at -0 cost):
Lotus Petal
Mana Crypt
Mox Diamond
Mox Opal
Great Furnace
Seat of the Synod
Vault of Whispers

His +1 allows you to untap Mana Vault and Grim Monolith. This guy is a rock star.

As a secondary trait, there is a dash of cloning and theft built into the deck.

Dack Fayden lets you steal other mana rocks or artifacts that you want OR helps you draw into solutions if you have a dead hand. His ultimate never happens. He will die.

Clever Impersonator is also a solid choice in this build. Being able to (for example) make a copy of Gisela, Blade of Goldnight neutralizes her damage reduction and damage amplification towards you. If you have control of the battlefield, copy an enchantment or artifact that deals more damage. The versatility here is welcome and needed.

Sakashima the Impostor is used to clone Nekusar. 2 Nekusar's on the board is something terrifying to contend with. She can also clone other pesky or advantageous creatures to give you an edge.

Sculpting Steel is used to clone artifacts.

Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir is used to keep counters and removal from your opponents in check while you wheel away. A particularly sinister combo is Sire Of Insanity + Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir . It keeps your opponents hands empty AND even if they do draw into some removal when you wheel, they can't use it.

Mind Over Matter + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind is usually a win.

Mind Over Matter with Otherworld Atlas or Temple Bell is great synergy.

Increasing Vengeance + Molten Psyche will often win a game for you, even if you aren't able to keep the draw and discard pain on the board. This is the sleeper win in the deck.
