So I love Niv-Mizzet, I have always like the character and the Izzet guild. So when he figured out that he would die in the events leading up to War of the Spark and subsequently left instructions to resurrect himself as a five colored avatar, I was beyond thrilled at this big brain maneuver. So I knew I wanted to build this deck and I also wanted the deck to be able to win in less traditional, more big brain ways. Then I realized that was already on Ravnica, the Maze. This also addresses the elephant in the room of how expensive it is usually perceived in the MTG community to build a five color mana base. But we needed more jank, a way to accrue card advantage that was Worthy of these big brain 189 IQ strats. Then as if a gift from god them self, Wizards gave us the Sanctum cycle in M21. Thus the plan was set into motion, to fuse a Good commander into 2 Memes and make a functional deck.
