The Wrath of Xenagos

Standard BRG (Jund)

Chaotictiger11

Sideboard

I originally wasn't going to add ANY noncreature spells to this deck, in hopes that I would be able to pull Xenagos' ultimate and not have to worry about wasting anything more than the hydras. However, after playing with this deck for a few weeks, I realized how large my creatures were getting. Thus, I decided to put it some Flesh / Blood. I almost ALWAYS have the mana to Flesh and THEN Blood my strongest creature, which is usually a 10/10 or larger hydra. My mana is almost purely from my devotion, however, the large sum of creatures allows Xenagos, The Reveler to pump out plenty of mana. It's not uncommon for me to have 35 mana to monstrosity my Polukranos, giving him 17 +1/+1 counters and more or less killing all of the opponents' creatures.

I just recently added the Xenagos, God of Revels. Now, with these fatties on the field, my fatties have haste right out of my hand, AND their attack is doubled.

The Archetype of Aggressions give my fatties the trample that just simply makes their blocking futile.

It's fun to use, and I got first place at FNM the other night before I added the Born of the Gods cards. I guess I'll have to wait until the BotG Release to actually test this deck out for good.

Any suggestions?
