Don't drop the cyclonic, its too good. But I do think syncopate would be a good spell to have in ur bag of tricks.

What would you suggest I replace then? Cause I've really been hurting not having those early counter spells available.

Cyclonic is handy with removal of p-dubs before they ultimate but I'm not really trying to beat across with creatures so the combat tricks with Cyclonic Rift seem wasted. Plus my win con is the ever evasive AEtherling anyway. At this point I'm holding onto them solely for the chance to overload and pseudo board wipe it seems. I'd rather have the spells to counter the creature/planeswalker drops from the very beginning.

If you are determined to slide in 2 Syncopate somewhere, I would suggest dropping one Azorius Charm and one Sphinx's Revelation , or even two Sphinx's Revelation . The Revelation is mainly a mid/late game resource, so if you want early game advantage, you have to sacrifice a mid/late card.

Cyclonic Rift provides too much flexibility to be eliminated.

Alright so I subbed a Sphinx's Revelation and an Azorius Charm out for 2 Syncopate . I'm going to keep the syncopates at only 2 because of how much a bust they can be late game. But this should help me control the early drops.

Early drop control can be quite effective if its pulled off, like stopping your opponents 3 step can be devastating if that was the best card in their opening hand, or if they mullied, early counters like syncopate will be useful.

I've taken my AEtherling deck in a direction towards what you have here (with a fancy new name: AEtherling's Army).

Specifically, I've mainboarded 3x Boros Reckoner , 1x Blasphemous Act , and 2x Assemble the Legion . You can see a more detailed analysis of what I changed on my page. I highly recommend you consider Assemble the Legion at 2x. It's a win condition by itself and the soldier tokens make casting Blasphemous Act a cantrip (really nice synergy: if you have a few soldier tokens out and AEtherling , you attack, then 2nd main cast Boros Reckoner followed by an easy Blasphemous Act and exile AEtherling in response to your own cast). Also I added 1x Slayers' Stronghold , you could probably safely handle 2x in your deck since you have no utility lands or caverns. It gives a mid/late game Boros Reckoner draw more explosiveness and I think it's really nice.

You might consider Celestial Flare in the sideboard for hexproof aura decks. I've run into a few recently.

@Apoptosis- Assemble the Legion is a card I've always liked for this deck. My hesitancy in using it comes twofold: one, it's steep to cast... I'd have to tap out turn five to do so leaving myself open at that point for my opponent to drop a pretty good sized creature or anything really. My defense with this deck lies in my ability to counter spells. So that makes me nervous. And two, it seems kind of slow building. It's not until turn six at the earliest that I'd see a creature from it and then only a 1/1. That said, it does a damn fine job repopulating after a supreme or blasphemous so i see its value... Ill try them out tonight in place of something in my instants... Or maybe in place of resto angel... And let you know! Thanks for the suggestions!

Also thank you! I'm honored that you found inspiration from this deck! Definitely one off favorites in recent standards... :)

Don't drop Assemble the Legion on turn 5 (unless you are desperate). You're playing control after all. You play your counters and wraths to maintain board control as usual and wait until you either 1. Can cast and keep a hard counter, 2. Have serious cad advantage and are ready to apply pressure, or 3. are holding a wrath. Or are up against a tapped out control deck. Good luck!
