Sideboard

**deck is not completely finished. Still working out kinks with mainboard and sideboard. If you have an idea please list it.

I for one have always been a fan of dredge and dredge-like decks. The mechanic of using your graveyard has always seemed awkward but fun to play and with DTK I think Sultai dredge can once again make a strong appearance.

Sultai's first attendance seemed great with Khans of Tarkir released and took world's. But ever since it just seems to have fallen of the edge even with the deck becoming more streamlined. Going from main boarding Doomwake Giant to sweep have gone replaced with the reanimator stilled decks placing most of their game play on the back bone of Whip of Erebos which is not a very consistent basis for winning, especially if you've played those kinds of builds like I have.

And while Whip of Erebos is a very strong card and goes with Sidisi, Brood Tyrant like no other card, it's always seemed lacking. But Dragons of Tarkir is here and the days of fully relying on that combo until Hornet Queen either gets milled or arrives may be over. Here's my build I'm attempting to go the most over the top sultai has gone.

The cards we all should be well and familiar with, with sultai thus far :

Sidisi, Brood Tyrant-sultai's khan to produce the zombies in attempt to go wide and feed our graveyard.

Whip of Erebos- To stabilize the board before we get swarmed over thanks to our slow play pace and hopefully bring back our win cons to win the game.

Sidisi, Undead Vizier- Our new demonic tutor that works wonders with Satyr Wayfinder or the zombie tokens produced via Sidisi,Brood Tyrant

Satyr Wayfinder- helping mana curve, chump blocker which again feeds our graveyard.

Torrent Elemental - A card thought to be the one to tip sultai over the edge. Of course it didn't but it was a great addition for when a game gets too lengthy and the ground gets gummed up.

Silumgar, the Drifting Death - Best chump blocker in standard at the moment, over the top damage and token sweeper.

Tasigur, the Golden Fang- Banana lord. Graveyard fodder along with retrieving our milled cards to possibly sway the game in our favor.

That's what we've been using thus far to really try and make this deck work. And it has but here are the kickers. Den Protector along with Deathmist Raptor . This combo has just been absolutely everywhere. Bant midrange, G/W aggro, Abzan aggro and Abzan megamorph. Not so much sultai though. Which surprises me because one major issue sultai had was gumming up the works when it came to aggro decks. Not only does Sultai now have access to more threatening blocks/attacks than Courser of Kruphix via Deathmist Raptor but we're the best deck to get them into the graveyard in order to go wide against our opponent with the combo of Sidisi, Brood Tyrant or Torrent Elemental

That's one major aspect. The other is spells. Being that sultai mills over so much of our win con we loose a lot of win percentage depending on what we turn over. But with Den Protector entering the mix we can now not only get Whip of Erebos back and just run away with the game BUT we can get our kill spells back such as Murderous Cut and Hero's Downfall. Along with our card drawing spells such as Treasure Cruise and Sultai Charm . And guess what? Sultai Charm works incredibly well with Deathmist Raptor on the discard mechanic.
