maybe swap Mentor of the Meek for Boros Swiftblade

you may find some place for Path to Exile

i don't really think you need Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion , and Arid Mesa is strongly recommended (stick with 20 lands maximum, your stuff isn't mana heavy)

i would keep Mentor of the Meek because you have no other draw power in this deck

this looks like a deck for Norin the Wary and the soul sisters; Soul's Attendant and Soul Warden , also don't forget about Arid Mesa

Id take out the Mentors for more Boros Charm.Would you rather draw a car or would you rathe rdeal 4 damage/ creatures indestructible/give a heavy hitter double strike?Boros doesnt do draw power. Boros is angry onslaught of attacks.

i know that boros is about uber-aggro, but i think that EVERY deck likes draw power...

boros charm is already at 4x.... would like some Lightning Helix

Hehe, I made a couple of slight adjustments :P There was only 2 Boros Charm when his comment was made :P I'm mostly just testing certain cards trying to find which ones give the best results :) So far this is pretty good, but I don't always get a first turn drop. Might want to add more 1cc Humans in. Any suggestions?

Path to Exile and Lightning Bolt are musts in this deck.

Crusader of Odric can go for something like Imposing Sovereign

lightning bolt or lightning helix or path to exile would be great in this deck. goldnight commander is a nice card but lightning mauler would be a better choice because it has a cheaper cmc and it makes your deck considerably faster. also crusader of odric just isn't that good. so, -2 goldnight commander -2 crusader of odric +4 lightning mauler. nice deck though +1.

Planning on making a more control based sideboard to the very aggro main. So those cards would definately go into the sideboard :) Was thinking about adding Lightning Mauler , but couldn't really figure out what to take out. I was considering swapping the Kruin Striker . What is the opinion on that?

no, Kruin Striker is good like i said before -2 goldnight commander -2 crusader of odric +4 lightning mauler

This is a very standard build for a modern deck, If you want this to be good in modern you need more speed, and less decent 2 drops for more amazing 1-2 drops, your deck is much to clunky for Modern.

Guessed as much :P I did ask in an earlier comment for more 1 drops that would work well :) I know it's clunky and needs work

well it would change the deck design but keep the same finisher if you used 4 Norin the Wary and a playset of both of the soul sisters Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant as I suggested earlier. all these cards would synergies well with Champion of the Parish . Even Serra Ascendant would work... all those are one drops and with the addition of so meny one drops you could run Proclamation of Rebirth . and btw Battlefield Forge is probably better then Clifftop Retreat as it is a better turn one.

oh, and you should mainboard 3 Lightning Bolt s and 4 Lightning Helix

and put the Mentor of the Meek back into the deck

LOL Had a feeling you would take notice of it :P Sure, why not :P The fun was in making the deck, not necessarily playing it, just make sure I can use it once in a while

still need to get the cards and i will probably change it along the way. for example Brave the Elements replaces Boros Charm

i would cut the Kessig Malcontents

1. Norin the Wary dont feel him... (right?)

2. he dont tricker Mentor of the Meek

3. he is only 1 creature, and only helps your champion and sisters with very litle..

mby Precinct Captain or sumthing like that...

You may have a point, and while Precinct Captain is really nice, it's token won't tigger Champion of the Parish 's ability. Is there any other human you could think of?

Would Thraben Doomsayer be a good replacement for the Kessig? Anyone got an idea?
