Why Timberpack wolf? There is many more great 2 drops, like Lotleth Troll

Ohh, so it's just a fill in? Makes sense, but I would say even some more removal over timberpack wolves.

Its kinda just a fill in. I used to have Young Wolf playset, however decided I was too heavy on the one drops and replace them with the Timberpack Wolf simply to even out the mana curve.

Something to protect Primordial Hydra would be a plus. All it takes to get rid of that is Murder, Dreadbore, etc. I found out the hard way that all it takes is someone to play a Pacifism on the Primordial Hydra and you are screwed as well.
It was easier to defend against direct attacks back when Darksteel Plate was legal.
Try to get something together to counter direct creature destruction.

Perhaps Alpha Authority for making the Primordial Hydra Hexproof or Naturalize / Golgari Charm to deal with Oblivion Ring or other enchantments along with the ability to regenerate your creatures after a kill spell is attempted?

You might want to look into Death's Presence, which basically scavenges a creature on it's way to the graveyard, allowing you to basically scavenge twice.

Thanks Mythimine, they are very good suggestions, I'll throw some in. Ideas on what should be removed?
Cdawg44, I used to have a set of Death's Presence but didn't find them that helpful as I never aeemed to manage to get them out. Which is a shame because they are an awesome card. Thanks for the thought though

With how much land you are running and how many creatures you have Golgari Keyrune I would take out along with Timberpack Wolf. I know you are a fan of it but it's effect isn't all that great in my opinion unless you have deck searching cards but even then you have better stuff to pull over it. Also perhaps drop a Bioshift for another kill spell like Ultimate Price or Murder. That way you can take out some of your opponents bomb cards a tad easier.

Hiya,
Personal opinions/other win cons for using Hydras:
Essence Harvest or Fungal Sprouting
That way, even if your Hydra is pacified you can target it with those abilities.

If I'm not mistaken, Generals should be legendary creatures. I don't know what you plan with this deck, but not everyone might accept (the otherwise very well chosen) Corpsejack Menace as its commander.

Oops, didn't see that this isn't a Commander deck. My bad :)

Thanks Martinus, I appreciate the comments anyway, its nice to know its getting looked at anyway.

I prefer the Desecration Demon over the Deadbridge Goliath. The D Demon is nice removal if nothing else, but when you pair him with Corpsejack Menace and Burst of Strength he's a game ender. You could make room for BoS over your Bioshift or cutting back on your Golgari Charm. Forced Adaptation might also be a good one to get rid of in place of BoS, because sometimes a sudden spike of power is what you need to win, rather than a steady growth.

I know that Deathrite Shaman is on the Sideboard, but I'd personally suggest putting at least 2x Deathrite Shaman into the deck. I have a Golgari deck as well and that card has won several games for me.

I would suggest something like Titanic Growth in place of Savage Surge
March 30, 2013 12:17 a.m.
Thanks for the suggestion, but Savage Surge allows me to untap a creature, my main idea is to be able to use it on the sneaky defence

Something you may want to consider is Ooze Flux ... it's an underplayed, unexpected card that will combo amazing with Hydra and Menace.

Thanks for that, I might get a couple and give them a try.

gaze of granite doesnt seem to fit since you're average casting cost is 2.7. i would drop dreg mangler because the haste doesnt really help since it is a slow deck and his scavenge cost is high. i would add in increasing savagery and gyre sage this gives you all kinds of mana. i would drop the renegrade krasis because you only get one counter with each evolve trigger, and it relies to heavily on other cars to work well. the rogue's passage seems unnecessary since you have so much trample and flying. i would drop ultimate price since there are so many multicolored creatures in standard. you can check out my deck which is similar here http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/corpsejack-menace-taking-suggestions/
May 21, 2013 2:17 a.m.
Thanks for that, it has certainly given me something to think about, I might sideboard gaze of granite as I mainly play casually against a mate who loves tokens, it was mainly a boardwipe. The mangler is mainly in there to try speed the deck up a bit.Rogue's passage, good idea getting rid of it.The Krasis, when combined with a corpsejack menace can be very effective. What would you suggest for creature destruction if I get rid of ultimate price?
But excellent suggestions, thank you
