Since you have splashed a few G, I would recommend using Reclaim and Mulch . In that way, you'll get as much as 4 high costing cards consistently. The deck is a little risky but i like it. +1

Uhm... It's only now that i have realized that you don't have G's. Sorry, my bad! But maybe you should try splashing a few G's.

just playtested it and realized that this deck is nothing without Quicksilver Amulet and Mindshrieker . So risky.

I replaced the djinns with the colossus and there is just something about hitting for 13 on turn two and kill on turn 3 using the noxious

You can't Noxious Revival a Blightsteel Colossus . :-(
I'm really saddened by the lack of reading here. If some of you would have only read half the deck builder's comments, you'd realize all of these 1, 2, and 3 cost spells you are suggesting have either already been suggested and dismissed or they would be dismissed for the same reason.
The more low cost things you add = the less effective the deck, Period. The land count is low for this reason, as well. The only way to be able to use this deck is proper mulliganing.
Because you are only CASTING Mindshrieker , Ponder , and maybe a Quicksilver Amulet from your hand, hand size makes no difference. Playtesting, I won turn 3 after going down to a three card starting hand (Island, Chancellor of the Tangle , and Mindshrieker then drawing into another island). Mana Leak s, Self-Mill cards, etc ALL HURT THE DECK! That is like tossing a few infect cards into a non-infect aggro deck. Sure, they might be good, but they work against the whole point of the deck.
October 30, 2011 11:31 a.m.
You guys are retarded. I wish I could disable comments to prevent you from spilling your idiocy on my deck. THIS ISN'T all about Mindshrieker , come on already! This deck isn't designed to be the perfect deck, or to even go to FNM! It is just fun to play. If I filled the deck with 4 Redirect , 4 card:Apostle's Blessing, 4 Turn Aside and 4 Mana Leak than protecting the stupid bird would be useless because every single time I use his ability I'll be turning up a land or some 2 drop crap! Come on! Think about it!

LOL! Why SO MANY people here fail to understand the fun behind this awesome deck?! This is not a control deck! It's just some Mindshrieker quick hitting / Quicksilver Amulet kind of stuff...
FACEPALM

oh yeah, now I remember us realizing later that the colossus should have been resuffled. Lords..sorry if I errored but Nefashu, you are coming off like a bit of a dick now. So what if people are throwing suggestions. You don't have to do or respond to any of them

Silverfox, I don't think he was talking about you. Personally, I'm for Blightsteels. I was just saying that specific situation wouldn't work.
I agree with Nefashu, though. He's been pretty patient, based on the first few comments. The fact that people aren't reading and just blurting out the same things is frustrating.
This deck isn't going to take you to state. It isn't even going to dominate at your local card shop. It's there to be fun and is a very valiant attempt to abuse not ONLY Mindshrieker but the Chancellors. Hence why taking them out is not going to happen, it would just degenerate into a completely different deck.
I'll repeat for those just skimming the comments:THIS IS A FUN/COMBO DECK! NOT A PRO-TOUR ATTEMPT! IF YOU WANT TO TRY AND PROTECT THE BIRD, MAKE YOUR OWN VERSION AND WATCH IT FAIL.
That said, I'm still going to build it tomorrow and take it for a spin Friday. _

Thank you OmegaSerris, thank you. Finally, someone understands. This is a fun deck! And for the last time, if I take out all the big fat creatures to run cheap spells that protect Mindshrieker , I will never want Mindshrieker to live anyways because the most he will rip off the top is going to be a 2 cost draw spell or a 2 cost card:Apostle's Blessing anyways! He is useless! And still, this deck is just as much about Quicksilver Amulet . Come one people.... @Silverfox You mad?

At first I looked at this and was like, "what the freak is this stuff?" But then I play tested and was all like, "THIS IS THE COOLEST THING EVAR!!!" haha +1 It is really fun, just perhaps look into ways of protecting the win cons (Mindshrieker and Quicksilver Amulet . It is a really neat idea.

I have been playing with this deck and it is really cool actually! O.o +1

Alright, so after a bit of playtesting, im thinking that Chancellor of the Spires is not very useful. Chancellor of the Annex can counter a spell, Chancellor of the Tangle lets you play shrieker t1, and Chancellor of the Dross gives you some help killing your opponent. spires just mills your opponent a little bit, which doesnt really help. Chancellor of the Forge would give you some chump blockers and help you get their life down a bit. so id put the Chancellor of the Forge s back in for the spires, and consider more Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur and/or Blightsteel Colossus .
October 31, 2011 6:03 p.m.
My defense of Chancellor of the Spires is this: it is a blue creature which means if I must, I can hard cast it late in the game (which I have done several times) and secondly, I can use it to instant cast a counterspell by activating the Quicksilver Amulet in response to something nasty and playing the blue chancellor to essentially flashback my opponents counterspells. That has proved useful to me. And I don't want to put them back in my binder. :(

Chancellor of the Spires is perfect here. I don't know why you guys pick so much on it. ;D

Love this! I did read all the comments, and noted nobody has suggested Balefire Dragon yet. Might be a bit more fun and useful than Chancellor of the Forge . ...might... +1

card:Garruk's Horde might be of benefit as well.

It's not a self-mill strategy. Mindshrieker doesn't actually mill enough to be considerable for a mill deck. He'd kill you before he could mill anyone. ;)
