one thing I should point out though... Oblivion Ring in your sideboard is NOT Standard legal!! There isn't much that can replace it but Pacifism might be cool.

I could be completely wrong, but it seems like there is not a lot on the mainboard that targets your Heroic creatures. I count 8 cards total, counting Hopeful Eidolon and Ajani, Caller of the Pride .

This deck is aggro enough that you probably don't want 3 Ordeal of Heliod . You don't really need 10 extra life. However, you need stuff to trigger your heroic creatures. So, I might be wrong. One thing that could replace Oblivion Ring is Detention Sphere . You'd have to splash blue, so that might make money an issue, but just a thought.

tman007 I also have Gods Willing in the side board and am planning on getting more Dauntless Onslaught s. I definitely want to figure out some better ways to trigger that heroic mechanic.

twospires I would like to keep the deck mono white, though I have one Detention Sphere and one Supreme Verdict . I am looking into getting some Gift of Immortality s and maybe using Chosen by Heliod and or Blessing as well.

I just haven't had a chance to look for some and get them yet.

Have you considered adding Ethereal Armor ? It might be good for you since its so cheap and can get larger the more enchantments you have.

Akanra no I hadn't! I am actually going to pick up some of those today. Though I am considering rebuilding this deck from a white weenie to a boros weenie. Haven't decided yet.

I have a similar w/u deck and I use Door of Destinies to pump my humans. If you get one out early the counters really stack up and your 1/1's can become 10/10's.

3 different heroic creatures totalling 7 and only 5 potential heroic triggers? Imo lose the heroic guys and go for more powerfull creatures that have better synergy in the deck. More boros elite maybe Frontline Medic and how about Dryad Militant the deck seems kind of aggro ish maybe a third spear. If you are going for more human centric idea maybe instead of dryad go Imposing Sovereign

Felixlives I'm actually trying to get a hold of some more cheap targeting from Ravnica and M14, I'm about to switch Gods Willing and Celestial Flare from side to main, to have more heroic triggers. On top of that I draw Ajani, Caller of the Pride more often then not. I do need to make the heroic trigger occur a bit more seamlessly.

Ajani doesnt trigger heroic. Swift Justice Ethereal Armor are awesome heroic triggers

I know Ajani, Caller of the Pride is an activated ability and not a cast spell, Felixlives. but on average it ends up that I am having either Fabled Hero or Fiendslayer Paladin + Ordeal of Heliod + Spear of Heliod + Ajani, Caller of the Pride or any mixture of that combo is pretty straight nuts.

Its takes more the just a Supreme Verdict and a Detention Sphere to finish this off.

Well verdict wipes your creature base d sphere locks out ajani then it could play say Assemble the Legion that should take care of you in a couple turns maybe aetherling to boot.

i'd just Brave the Elements your verdict and let you have Ajani because I would still Righteous Charge over your legion for the W.

What does brave the elements do against verdict?

nothing against verdict. it says 'all' not 'target'. can't protect against all. I forgot about that. I thought it was like Doom Blade where i could protect against it. Guess I would just have to be quick and or pump out more dudes and hope you don't verdict everything I have. haha.

Adding a few Gift of Orzhova and Holy Mantle will help you get around their defenses and will also help with your heroic triggers. I would also carry 4 Fabled Hero instead of just 1. The previously mentioned auras build up his power very quickly. Just one Holy Mantle equipped to a Fabled Hero lets him swing in for 10 unblockable on turn 4.

I see, that does sound amazing. I will have to get my hands on a few more. I know I have two gifts, and one holy, but I only have one fabled currently which is why I've got the 3 Banisher Priest s in the main right now. what would you suggest I pull out in place of those other cards 8q9tvq
