Tthat is why i want to put in Fauna Shaman . If you have a Goryo's Vengeance in hand, you can search Emrakul and it will make this an easyer wincon. ;)

Can someone please explain how Goryo's Vengeance can target Emrakul, the Aeons Torn when it gets shuffled back into your library as soon as it hits the GY, can you place the "shuffle into library" effect on the stack? if so, that means a person should also be able to Scavenging Ooze it in response to your Goryo's Vengeance ?

I don't know how to fit in Griselbrand but i got you the point, he could be a spot in this deck.

Moorbeta: Scavenging Ooze could be a response, since Emrakul's ability resolves as a state based action.

Im back to check out the deck! :)

Emrakul, the Aeons Torn does not really fit your deck as he requires a dedicated combo deck to work well or he will just be a dead card in your hand most of the time. Plus you do not want to see him hit the grave via some form of discard without Goryo's Vengeance as your deck relies on the graveyard and he sends all your cards back to the deck. :S

In his place and in place of Goryo's Vengeance which is useless without Emrakul, I would fit in some ramp such as Birds of Paradise to speed up your deck.

Also, you could cut back on the removal and add in more creatures or spells for your graveyard strategy such as Stinkweed Imp , Grisly Salvage , and Golgari Thug .

Well that is all the input I have for you for now. :3

Griselbrand is like Emrakul except much easier to take advantage of, But this deck lacks the combo support and/or reanimate spells to run him as this deck has creatures that can reanimate themselves rather than actual reanimate spellls and if you add dredge cards you get a similar effect. Which is also why Avatar of Woe should also be removed because it can't be reanimated and does not have a discard outlet like troll. :3

Gahhh I am always forgetting something, I would remove two lands to add in a swamp and a forest in case of Path to Exile so you can profit from it and be able to survive a Blood Moon just in case. :3

You are right, but, since i don't like dredge, and i feel mana ramp is not much of an advantage in a grave deck I will fit in Fauna Shaman and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord somehow. Fauna Shaman will be an addition to Lotleth Troll and you can search a Demigod of Revenge if you need (and other creatures of course). Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord will be a nice addition to the graveyard combos and in every situation he comes handy. Mana Counfluence could go as well, you are right about land base too. I Love you man. :D

Stinkweed Imp .
Tutor it off Fauna Shaman, discard it to Lotleth Troll, dredge 5, put more value in the bin, use it to tutor or feed Lotleth Troll.
Repeat till you are constantly recuring Crawlers, Vines and Ghasts every turn.

I accept that Stinkweed Imp is a good card for this deck but i dont know how to fit it in.

Just did a bunch of playtests with this against some of my decks, and I have to say I really like it! It seems like an extremely fun deck to play, I love the combos you can pull off with Vengevine . The only thing I noticed is that Demigod of Revenge was almost always a dead draw. This was usually the result of Mutavault not producing black mana. Seriously though, other than that its great! If you ever wanna look at any of my decks and give suggestions I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for the feedback, as I got more time i will check your decks. Maybe you are right, this is why Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is in there, maybe i could add one more to make sure about Mutavault and Demigod of Revenge will love each other.

I'm loving the deck, but you should remove all the Temple of Malady in my opinion. In Modern, being a turn behind because of a tapped land is a huge disadvantage. Take them out and add one more Verdant Catacombs and some basic lands. If you think you really need the two colour lands, Llanowar Wastes is a far better choice.

Unearth would work great for bringing back pretty much any creature in this deck from the graveyard. Ghoulcaller's Chant would be perfect for grabbing Gravecrawler s to discard to Lotleth Troll ! I use both in OMG ZEDS

Maybe you should try some basic reanimator spells, like Dread Return , Exhume , and/or Reanimate . Nice deck btw, and a +1 from me!

J3d4 says... #18

The purpose of this deck is not to use reanimator spells, cause nearly every creature can reanimated itself, so you could use more removal or utility cards.

If you're going to be casting Demigod of Revenge you need your first 5 lands to be colored so i don't think Mutavault really has a place here, additionally since there's a lack in tribal effects. Also, Night's Whisper is strictly better than Sign in Blood and would be better suited for this deck if you were to keep some colorless mana. I think Treetop Village would be a better manland in this deck than mutavault.

The deck needs Mutavault to trigger Gravecrawler if you don't have Lotleth Troll on board, and that is why Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is here to color the Mutavault . Also, Sign in Blood 's two black is not a big deal, but i give you the point that Night's Whisper is better. On the other hand, Demigod of Revenge is just a finisher here, you don't need to cast it on turn 5 it is just a possible win condition among others.

You don't want or need Hero's Downfall , maybe Darkblast instead.

I also think Grisly Salvage is better in this deck than Sign in Blood . Digs for a card, fills the yard, is instant.

I don't like Fade into Antiquity at 3cmc. You don't really need it with decay and pulse anyway. Maybe Golgari Charm is better?

Anyway, nice list! Playing with vengevine and demigod is always fun!

Hmm, you got me, but i think Dismember is a better choice than Darkblast

I give you the point on Grisly Salvage and Golgari Charm so Thank You very much! :)

i like this deck a lot; +1 from me. reading the comment thread, its kinda sad that emrakul is out. i think some interesting alternative methods of getting him on the battlefield would be:
Doomed Necromancer
Hell's Caretaker (you would need an instant-speed card removal to pull this off so that you can trigger it during your upkeep)

another card from m15 that might fit well in here is Necromancer's Stockpile .

2 Ghost Quarter s wouldn't hurt in my opinion. In some matches they might be helpful. Mostly against Tron this card is very welcomed. And, second thought, possibly 1 Life from the Loam ? It has dredge and the self-milled lands back might be good as well sometimes.. Just thoughts.
