This isn't even Magic anymore...

Commander / EDH Multiplayer RUG (Temur)

SuperAshura

This deck... this FUCKING deck. Alright, so I guess this is what happens when I figure out a metagame: I immediately subvert it with something it is in no way prepared to handle. But this deck takes that idea and cranks it up to 11. It has very little middle ground, it either does nothing or EVERYTHING. Sometimes, it's a hell of a judgebuster. How does it win? Hell if I know! It has no aims, no goals, it's a pure agent of completely impartial chaos. I've seen build like this that seek to take chaos and use it to their advantage, but they're doing it wrong. Chaos is chaos. There's no shaping it, no directing it. You do a thing, then stuff happens. By the time this deck is relevant, you're not even playing Magic anymore. You're playing a card game that uses Magic cards, sure, but Magic has rules; A rock-solid foundation that define how the game is played. This deck does not, and actively subverts any it can get its hands on. I only play it once a season at my LGS, and for good reason: I don't think the sanity of my fellow Commanders could take it. My favorite memory of this deck is a pod I played with StarCityGames' Sean McKeown, he'd built an Animar deck with the stated goal of "being the tyrantiest of the tyrants". Sadly that pod never stood a chance, Maelstrom Wanderer did his thing, stuff happened, and people were confused. This unruly pile of jank got placed in the Tyrant Pod instead.
