Interesting deck, Primalcrux has been a favourite of mine ever since i saw it and wanted to make a mono green devotion deck work as it some strong potential if built right.

Some inclusions i would consider-

Garruk Wildspeaker, if you get it on turn two with a turn one Arbor Elf and turn two Utopia Sprawl it sets you up nicely for turn three.

Primal Surge is another noteworthy contender as a 1 - 2 of to consider

Lightning Greaves work nicely too in certain matchups where creature removable is a big problem.

Choke is a nice sideboard card against blue control decks, there's also Blood Moon but best keeping within mono green.

Hope this helps. :)

I do like the idea but this deck is tuned for the current Ixalan meta as far as I know. I will test these out on my own though.

Garruk Wildspeaker Is too easy of a bolt target and often is killed before he can shine. Primal Surge is often a dead card because of how many lands I have often. Lightning Greaves often served me well in Grixis control matchups and burn alike. Beyond that it is quite useless. Choke was great against control and merfolk until the merfolk guy decided to turn my lands into islands. Thanks for the suggestions.

Interesting deck. Not much that is terribly new to the formula that many green players have used for years though. Just straight ramp into big stompy creatures. Unfortunately if you are looking to be more competitive against Death's Shadow (Typically mono black), or Tron decks (several run deathtouch creatures), imho, you are lacking with your creature protection. One of the biggest downfalls to green creature ramp - all the way back to the early days of elves are creature hate cards. Especially board wipes. Damnation, Anger of the Gods, Pyroclasm, Day of Judgment.. They would all watch this deck crumble.

Might I suggest Heroic Intervention? I really think you need something like this to consistently watch your final push be successful.

Wow... I really need to update this deck. I don't have problems with the decks anymore. Tron gets shut out easily. I already have the Interventions in my sideboard and I run that green boardwipe from Aether revolt.

Perhaps a nice 2-drop Garruk's Companion, and Kalonian Tusker?

I do like the idea but I have a rule for modern, don't play anything that can barely die to bolt. If you're on the play and they decide to bolt one of those two, you will feel bad for wasting a turn. Nice idea though.

looks really good, dude. you might enjoy things like Karametra's Acolyte, Unyaro Bees, and Regal Force. stay frosty!

I appreciate the suggestions, however, I've already tried Acolyte and it's usually a dead card. Unyaro Bees seems interesting but I think it might bee (I'm not sorry) too slow. I will test it out though. I have been thinking about Regal Force and will definitely try it tonight.

Aspect of Hydra could be sweet

Your deck is a touch weak on card advantage. By which I mean there isn't any. I see a couple things you could do. Cut the Elvish Visionarys and Monstrous Onslaught and pick up either A) 1-2x Rishkar's Expertise, or B) 3x Elemental Bond.

Check this spicy little brew out. This May Also Be a Problem.

I do appreciate the criticism Zendikari but your statement is false. I do have card advantage in Lead the Stampede Growing Rites of Itlimoc Ripjaw raptor and Elvish Visionary. The reason I only need these cards is because this deck is consistent enough to draw what it needs in the opening hands. I only need these cards to dig out my finishers from however many cards deep they are.

1) Elvish Visionary is not good card advantage.

2) you have 1 Growing Rites of Itlimoc.

3) actually Lead the Stampede and Ripjaw raptor are really good.

But yeah really I think you should cut the visionaries in place of a good 2-drop. That is like... 1/3 of the reason I linked you there. The other 2/3 are Dryad Militant and Prowling Serpopard (arguably better than Leyline of Lifeforce).

Would Ghalta, Primal Hunger work?

I'd suggest running at least 2, better more copys of Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx for ridiculous amounts of sweet sweet green mana.

I'd also second Rishkar's Expertise, since you normally would draw an insane amount of cards, and the free spell just makes it better.

Nontheless, nice brew

I've been thinking of adding a Ghalta or two. I've tried both Nykthos and Rishkar's before. Nykthos isn't good until you have hydra or Primalcrux out and Rishkar's is too expensive for when I would need it. Another problem with it is that I can't play hydra or Primalcrux with it which are my finishers in this deck.
