With the RtR block coming out of rotation soon, I'm trying to use cards I have been wanting to try before they become illegal. The card for this deck is Five-Alarm Fire.

Win Conditions:Purphoros, God of the Forge - Pretty standard deal. Token meets board, opponent meets Purphoros. And we have a lot of token potential from quite a few directions.

Burn - Depending on the deck we are facing, we may not even need Purphoros. I usually try to use my burn defensively, but with Satyr Firedancer, it allows one to have the best of both worlds. Thanks Jaxis for alerting me to this card!

Weenie Aggro - Depending on the deck we are facing, we may win with our tokens, using the burn to clear their lines as needed. It really comes down to adapting to the situation presented to you.

Deck Adjustment — Aug. 29, 2014

After testing the suggestions Jaxis...er...suggested (hey I'm no wordsmith) and liking them a lot, I've adjusted the deck structure. I've removed Five-Alarm Fire and Blind Obedience. Five Alarm Fire won me a few matches at last week's FNM, but at the same time it slowed me down, as there was almost always something more beneficial to cast at the time. The enchantments were replaced with more instants to make use of the Young Pyromancer and Satyr Firedancer abilities. I'm only mainboarding two Searing Blood since I won't know ahead of time if the opponent will have small creatures. However, the card is awesome against weenie agro decks, so two are in the sideboard. The two Revoke Existence in the sideboard are there due to the emergence of Scuttling Doom Engine in a few decks at my local FNM. It handles it pretty well. Obviously adjust the sideboard to your current local situation.

Taking this deck to FNM again tonight in preparation for tomorrow's IQ. Very curious to see how it does, as it has pretty good success against mono black, which seems to be everywhere at the moment.
