This deck is all about Thopter 1/1 C production. It has several means of producing large amounts of thopters and an infinite thopter production loop. It is mostly meant to be fun, it probably won't win every game but there are a lot of variations in play to make it an interesting deck to play with.

As stated above, the main goal is to produce as many thopters as possible. The main way to do this is by using Whirler Virtuoso in conjunction with three Decoction Module to be able to create an infinite amount of thopters.

How do you win with this? If you get the infinite loop going, since it works at instant speed, you can start it up during your opponent's end step and create enough thopters to swing in for lethal. You could also have Reckless Fireweaver out there to deal direct damage every time a thopter comes into play.

If you can't get the infinite loop going you can still probably create a good deal of thopters with Sai, Master Thopterist and any thopters you create can be turned into a Construct 4/4 C with Retrofitter Foundry.

It's a combo deck so you really want to get all your pieces out there. I also added some control to help protect your pieces until you can assemble the combo. Harnessed Lightning is such a good removal card for any energy counter-based deck. Fire Prophecy is good for card adjustment to get rid of something you don't need to hopefully draw into a combo piece. Arcane Denial can be replaced with another counterspell but I like it for the card draw. As for putting the combo together, there is also Panharmonicon and Sculpting Steel to help duplicate Decoction Module if you can't get them all out there. And worst comes to worst you can turn your thopters into a 4/4 Construct which you can do on turn one with a fast land, Retrofitter Foundry, and Ornithopter.

When this gets going it is really fun. Flooding the board with so many thopters that your opponent can't deal with them or dealing direct damage with reckless Fireweaver and there is nothing your opponent can do is so satisfying. However, this deck really relies on its combos and if you can't get any of them going this deck can struggle. If you don't get a counterspell and your opponent is using a lot of removal and they get rid of an important combo piece it could be difficult to recover. It also can't handle large creatures with trample but the thopters make great trash blockers and have flying so when they can attack they are difficult to block. As said in the intro, this deck is mostly for fun and is pretty casual.

In this configuration here it is only legal in Legacy. If you take out Retrofitter Foundry and the two artifact lands, Seat of the Synod and Great Furnace it can become legal in Modern. However, Retrofitter Foundry is a pretty large part of the deck construction so it would suffer if taken out. I have yet to find a good replacement. You could take out the artifact lands but they trigger Fireweaver which is always fun but aren't super necessary. Without the artifact lands and Arcane Denial, this is also legal in Historic on Arena. In Arena I use Lofty Denial instead.

So I made a couple thopter art pieces. These are to go along with my thopter decks because I'm extra like that. This is a thopter-based card sleeve design. It's based on the diagram art like in Ornithopter. If anyone wants to use it for anything you're more than welcome to. It could also probably work as a custom token if you want. If anyone is interested in using this as a token let me know and I can add "Thopter" to the top and "Flying" and "1/1" at the bottom.

The other thing I made is a 3D model of this thopter design. I used it to glue to a deck box but it can be used as a token or just have a thopter buddy chilling. Or whatever really.
