Altar of the Brood is an exellent choice against pillow fort. It doesnt ser much play anymore, but Ghostly Prison wrecks you otherwise if it gets online. Cool build.

Are there really no better silver bullets that can be put on isochron? It seems like there should be some brutal hate cards that you can play over and over. Maybe Surgical Extraction, Blessed Alliance,Echoing Truth,Flashfreeze,Hurkyl's Recall,Rest for the Weary just beats burn,Shadow of Doubt would be hilarious, Spell Snare, and Valorous Stance? Shadow of Doubt, Surgical, and rest for the weary all seem game winning on a staff.

Many of those suggestions are either too specific; Flashfreeze, Surgical Extraction, Hurkyl's Recall, Echoing Truth, not wide enough; Blessed Alliance, Valorous Stance, or simply not useful enough; Shadow of a Doubt, Rest for the Weary.

Although, Hurkyl's Recall and Surgical have seen use in my sideboard before, my meta isn't calling for them. Also, I run 2 Spell Snare in the main already. I do appreciate the advice, though.

I love this. Absolutely adore it. I had completely forgotten about the Thopter-Sword combo, and the Isochron adds so much to the party. Totally want to build this and mess around with it, I'm so glad I found it!

When I was first getting into Magic, I fell in love with the Thopter-Sword combo, as well as Isochron Scepter. I tried to make an Esper deck that used all of them, but couldn't get it to work well. I think this one is really strong and works quite well. Nicely done! +1

Now that Jace, the Mind Sculptor is unbanned, would you consider adding him to this deck?

I'll allow everyone else; the community at large, to do the preliminary testing to see where he stands in general. Time will tell. I've been contemplating Gideon lately as well.

If you are feeling bold Lightning Helix is a decent option. It could help against planeswalkers and buy you time against aggro. It could also open up paths such as Ensnaring Bridge lockdowns as well.

Otherwise , I would like to see a couple more lands.
