This is a mid-range RUG deck for the modern format. The deck uses the graveyard to create card advantage and finish games. Just something I though of today and threw together.

Thought Scour + Life from the Loam

Academy Ruins + Engineered Explosives or Batterskull

Life from the Loam + Ghost Quarter or any fetchland

Thought Scour + Snapcaster Mage

There is a lot of synergy between the cards here and the way that they interact with the graveyard. It does not end the game the same way that [unburial rites] does, but it generates incremental advantage that can slowly take over.
