This is a Adaptive midrange deck designed to either grind away at your opponents until their resources are too exhausted or combo fast. Often the deck will play the grind game then pivot to fast combo at an opportune moment. The first few turns should be focused on ramp and playing Thrasios to establish a draw engine. You then apply pressure through disruptive soft stax pieces (e.g. Cindervines, Rhystic Study, Verity Circle), counter magic, and removal. Rather than trying to combo immediately, you usually will want to go for mid or late game combos after other players have had their games disrupted. You will want to hold mana open almost every turn for instant speed interaction that can be funneled through Thrasios if it isn't used. This helps to keep you from running out of cards as you attempt to disrupt 3 opponents.

Since you have redundant combo pieces, it can sometimes be a valid play to use Splinter Twin or Kiki-Jiki in pre-combo turns to copy creatures like Reclamation Sage or Glen Elendra Archmage in order to continue applying pressure. The creatures in the deck have lots of abilities attached to them that allow you to keep the pressure on, all while giving you bodies to eventually Pod away and further your own game plan. Should your combo fail or be shut off, the backup win con is beat down your various other creatures (possibly pumped by a huge Finale of Devastation).

Do not underestimate the ability of Birthing Pod or other creature tutors to pivot your strategy and turn a seemingly harmless board state into an immediate winning combo.
