This is not a serious deck, at least not yet.
I'm coming back to Magic the Gathering after a 23 year hiatus (since Ice Ages), and decided to try my hand at Pauper.
I don't know much about the metagame and I'm not sure what kind of strategy I'd like to use, so I made this deck from my collection (Revised, Fallen Empires and Ice Ages only) in order to just start things out.
Frozen Shade was one of my main hitters when I played with my friends, and Order of the Ebon Hand joined as soon as Fallen Empires was released (I loved to play mono black with pumpable creatures). Unfortunately Hypnotic Specter, and Carrion Ants are uncommon, so I will use Drudge Skeletons and Erg Raiders as placeholders for now.
Unholy Strength and Howl from Beyond will help the creatures make some more damage, while Fear, Paralyze and Terror will hopefully clear the way and Raise Dead will bring them back, if needed.
Pestilence and Drain Life are also for removal, but I could go a totally different way and make a RB burn deck using them, Soul Burn lies in the sideboard longing for this day.
Other card that waits on the sideboard is Songs of the Damned, just in case four copies of Dark Ritual are not enough.
I will definitely update a lot, maybe change everything, but at least I will give a chance to my old cards to see some play once again after such a long time.
